²⁰ H5800If ye forsake[H8799] H3068the LORDH5647, and serve[H8804] H5236strangeH430godsH7725, then he will turn[H8804] H7489and do you hurt[H8689] H3615, and consume[H8765] H310you, afterH3190that he hath done you good[H8689] .

²¹ H5971And the peopleH559said[H8799] H3091unto JoshuaH5647, Nay; but we will serve[H8799] H3068the LORD.

²² H3091And JoshuaH559said[H8799] H5971unto the peopleH5707, Ye are witnessesH977against yourselves that ye have chosen[H8804] H3068you the LORDH5647, to serve[H8800] H559him. And they said[H8799] H5707, We are witnesses.

²⁶ H3091And JoshuaH3789wrote[H8799] H1697these wordsH5612in the bookH8451of the lawH430of GodH3947, and took[H8799] H1419a greatH68stoneH6965, and set it up[H8686] H427there under an oakH4720, that was by the sanctuaryH3068of the LORD.

²⁷ H3091And JoshuaH559said[H8799] H5971unto all the peopleH68, Behold, this stoneH5713shall be a witnessH8085unto us; for it hath heard[H8804] H561all the wordsH3068of the LORDH1696which he spake[H8765] H5713unto us: it shall be therefore a witnessH3584unto you, lest ye deny[H8762] H430your God.

²⁸ H3091So JoshuaH5971let the peopleH7971depart[H8762] H376, every manH5159unto his inheritance.

²⁹ H310And it came to pass afterH1697these thingsH3091, that JoshuaH1121the sonH5126of NunH5650, the servantH3068of the LORDH4191, died[H8799] H3967, being an hundredH6235and tenH8141yearsH1121old.

³⁰ H6912And they buried[H8799] H1366him in the borderH5159of his inheritanceH8556in TimnathserahH2022, which is in mountH669EphraimH6828, on the north sideH2022of the hillH1608of Gaash.

³¹ H3478And IsraelH5647served[H8799] H3068the LORDH3117all the daysH3091of JoshuaH3117, and all the daysH2205of the eldersH748that overlived[H8689] H3117 H310 H3091JoshuaH3045, and which had known[H8804] H4639all the worksH3068of the LORDH6213, that he had done[H8804] H3478for Israel.

³² H6106And the bonesH3130of JosephH1121, which the childrenH3478of IsraelH5927brought up[H8689] H4714out of EgyptH6912, buried[H8804] H7927they in ShechemH2513, in a parcelH7704of groundH3290which JacobH7069bought[H8804] H1121of the sonsH2544of HamorH1the fatherH7927of ShechemH3967for an hundredH7192pieces of silverH5159: and it became the inheritanceH1121of the childrenH3130of Joseph.
