That is why Jehoshaphat’s kingdom had peace. Jehoshaphat’s God gave him peace all around him.
You could lie down to rest,\par and no one would bother you.\par And many people would come to you\par for help.\par
Lord, save me from the people\par who lied about me.\par Those people said things that weren’t true.\par
Liars, do you know what you will get?\par Do you know what you will gain?\par
He lets me lie down in green pastures.\par He leads me by calm pools of water.\par
People will leave the cities of Aroer. {\cf2\super [175]} \par Flocks of sheep will wander freely in those empty towns;\par There will be no person to bother them.\par
At that time, there will be a road there. This highway will be called “The Holy Road.” Evil people will not be allowed to walk on that road. No fools {\cf2\super [332]} will go to that road. Only good people will walk on that road.

The people will forget their shame and all the times they turned against me. They will live in safety on their own land. No one will make them afraid.
“Then you will know\par that I am the Lord your God,\par I live on Zion, {\cf2\super [34]} my holy mountain.\par Jerusalem will become holy.\par Strangers will never pass through\par that city again.”\par
Those people killed my people.\par So I really will punish them!”\par The Lord God will live in Zion! {\cf2\super [37]} \par
I will give peace to your country. You will lie down in peace. No person will come to make you afraid. I will keep harmful animals out of your country. And armies will not come through your country.
Each person will sit under his own grapevine and fig tree.\par No person will make \{them\} afraid!\par Why? Because the Lord All-Powerful\par said it would happen like that!\par
The people of that ‘crippled’ city\par will become the survivors. {\cf2\super [51]} \par The people of that city\par were forced to leave.\par But I will make them into a strong nation.”\par The Lord will be their king.\par He will rule from Mount Zion {\cf2\super [52]} forever.\par
So rule your people with your rod.\par Rule the flock of people\par that belongs to you.\par That flock lives alone in the woods,\par and up on Mount Carmel.\par That flock lives in Bashan and Gilead\par like they did in time past.\par
Then that land will belong to the survivors {\cf2\super [16]} from Judah. The Lord will remember those people from Judah. Those people are prisoners in a foreign country. But the Lord will bring them back. Then the people from Judah will let their sheep eat the grass in those fields. In the evenings, they will lie down in the empty houses of Ashkelon.
But God is still in that city. And he continues to be good. God does not do anything wrong. He continues to help his people. Morning after morning he helps his people make good decisions. But those bad people are not ashamed of the bad things they do.
“These people will plant in peace. Their grapevines will produce grapes. The land will give good crops, and the skies will give rain. I will give all these things to these, my people.
But you must do these things: Tell the truth to your neighbors. When you make decisions in your cities, do the things that are true and right and that bring peace.
The Lord says, “I have come back to Zion. I am living in Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be called FAITHFUL CITY. The Lord All-Powerful’s mountain will be called HOLY MOUNTAIN.”
The Son of Man {\cf2\super [189]} will send his angels, and his angels will find the people that cause sin and all people that do evil. The angels will take those people out of his kingdom.
Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him. Jesus said, “This man coming is truly one of God’s people. {\cf2\super [31]} There is nothing false in him.”
Don’t lie to each other. Why? Because you have left your old sinful life and the things you did before.
But you may suffer for doing right. If that happens, then you are blessed (happy). “Don’t be afraid of those people \{that make you suffer\}; don’t be worried.” {\cf2\super [25]}
We know that any person who has been made God’s child does not continue to sin. The Son of God keeps God’s child safe. {\cf2\super [22]} The Evil One (the devil) cannot hurt that person.
These people were not guilty of telling lies. They are without fault.
But the people who are cowards, people who refuse to believe, people who do terrible things, people who kill, people who sin sexually, people who do evil magic, people who worship idols, {\cf2\super [159]} and people who tell lies—all those people will have a place in the lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
