Job 11 - Easy To Read Version

Then Zophar from Naamah answered Job and said,

“This flood of words should be answered!\par Does all this talking make Job right? No!\par

Job, do you think we don’t have\par an answer for you?\par Do you think no one will warn you\par when you laugh at God?\par

Job, you say to God,\par ‘My arguments are right,\par and you can see I am pure.’\par

Job, I wish God would answer you\par and tell you that you are wrong.\par

God could tell you the secret of wisdom.\par He would tell you that\par every story has two sides.\par Job, listen to me,\par God is not punishing you\par as much as he should.\par

“Job, do you think that\par you really understand God?\par You can’t understand God All-Powerful.\par

You can’t do anything about\par what is up in heaven!\par You don’t know anything\par about the place of death.\par

God is greater than the earth\par and bigger than the seas.\par

“If God arrests you,\par and brings you to court,\par no person can stop him.\par

Truly, God knows who is worthless.\par When God sees evil,\par he remembers it.\par

A wild donkey can’t give birth\par to a man.\par And a stupid person will never\par become wise.\par

“But Job, you should make your heart\par ready to serve only God,\par and you should lift up your hands to \{worship\} him.\par

You should put away the sin\par that is in your home.\par Don’t let evil live in your tent.\par

Then you could look to God without shame.\par You could stand strong and not be afraid.\par

Then you could forget your trouble.\par Your troubles would be like\par water that has passed on by.\par

Then your life would be brighter\par than the sunshine at noon.\par Life’s darkest hours would shine\par like the morning sun.\par

Then you would feel safe,\par because there would be hope.\par God would care for you\par and give you rest.\par

You could lie down to rest,\par and no one would bother you.\par And many people would come to you\par for help.\par

Bad people might look for help,\par but they won’t escape their troubles.\par Their hope leads only to death.”\par
