So the king asked me, “Are you sick? Why do you look sad? I think your heart is full of sadness.”


Esther said, “The man against us, our enemy, is this wicked Haman.”


When I sin, I am guilty\par and it will be very bad for me.\par But I can’t lift up my head\par even when I am innocent!\par I am so ashamed and embarrassed.\par


Lord, protect the children without parents.\par Don’t let sad people suffer more troubles.\par Make bad people too afraid to stay here.\par


\{I almost died!\}\par Death’s ropes were wrapped around me.\par The grave was closing in around me.\par I was scared and worried.\par


Lord, save me from the bad people\par who are trying to ruin me.\par Protect me from the people around me\par who are trying to hurt me.\par


Those bad people brag\par and tell lies about good people.\par Those bad people are very proud.\par But their lying lips will be silent.\par

Lord, come back\par and make me strong again!\par You are very kind,\par so save me.\par


If you don’t help me,\par I will be like an animal\par caught by a lion.\par I will be carried away,\par with no one to save me!\par


God, how much longer will the enemy\par make fun of us?\par Will you let them insult your name forever?\par

You seem to have forgotten us forever, Lord.\par You seem to have left us alone\par for such a long time.\par


Jesus said to Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, “My soul is full of sorrow. My heart is breaking with sadness. Stay awake here with me and wait.”
