{That is what you said.} But haven’t you heard {what God said}? “I (God) planned it long ago, from ancient times I planned it. And now, I have made it happen. I let you tear down the strong cities and change them into piles of rocks.


People on earth won’t remember him.\par No person remembers him anymore.\par


But the Lord is against people\par that do bad things.\par He destroys them completely!\par


Pray to the Lord and he will hear you.\par He will save you from all your troubles.\par


The Lord can stop wars\par anywhere on earth.\par He can break the soldiers’ bows,\par shatter their spears.\par and burn their shields. {\cf2\super [283]} \par


\{If that is not true,\par then punish me.\}\par Let an enemy chase me,\par catch me, and kill me.\par Let him trample my life into the ground\par and push my soul into the dirt.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [36]})\i0 \par


From the mouths of children and babies\par come songs of praise to you.\par You gave them \{these powerful songs\}\par to silence all your enemies.\par


But Moses answered, “Don’t be afraid! Stand where you are and watch the Lord save you today. You will never see these Egyptians again!


Those people will be filled with fear when they see your strength. They will be as still as a rock until the Lord’s people pass by, until the people you have made pass by.


Is this the same man that destroyed cities\par and changed the land into a desert?\par Is this the same man that captured people\par in war and would not let them go home?”\par


Those dead \{lords {\cf2\super [243]} \} will not come to life.\par Those ghosts will not rise from death.\par You decided to destroy them.\par And you destroyed everything that makes us think about them.\par

My enemy said to me,\par “Where is the Lord your God?”\par But my enemy will see this,\par and she will be ashamed.\par At that time, I will laugh at her. {\cf2\super [81]} \par People will walk over her,\par like mud in the streets.\par

The last enemy to be destroyed will be death.


The angel grabbed the giant snake (that old serpent). The giant snake is the devil (or Satan). The angel tied him \{with the chain\} for 1,000 years.


On the third day, David and his men arrived at Ziklag. They saw that the Amalekites had attacked Ziklag. The Amalekites invaded the Negev area. They attacked Ziklag and burned the city.


The Israelites {that lived} on the other side of the valley saw the Israelite army running away. They saw that Saul and his sons were dead. So those Israelites left their cities and ran away. Then the Philistines came and lived in those cities.
