Psalm 7 - Easy To Read Version

¹ Lord my God, I trust you.\par Save me from the people who are\par chasing me.\par Rescue me!\par

² If you don’t help me,\par I will be like an animal\par caught by a lion.\par I will be carried away,\par with no one to save me!\par

³ Lord my God, I did nothing wrong.\par I promise, I did nothing wrong!\par

⁴ I did not do bad things to my friend. {\cf2\super [35]} \par And I did not help my friend’s enemies.\par

⁵ \{If that is not true,\par then punish me.\}\par Let an enemy chase me,\par catch me, and kill me.\par Let him trample my life into the ground\par and push my soul into the dirt.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [36]})\i0 \par

⁶ Lord, get up {\cf2\super [37]} and show your anger!\par My enemy is angry,\par so stand and fight against him.\par Lord, get up and demand fairness!\par

⁷ Lord, judge the people.\par Gather the nations around you,\par

⁸ and judge the people.\par Lord, judge me.\par Prove that I am right.\par Prove that I am innocent.\par

⁹ Punish the bad people,\par and help the good people.\par God, you are good.\par And you can look into peoples’ hearts.\par

¹⁰ God helps people with honest hearts.\par So God will protect me.\par

¹¹ God is a good judge.\par He speaks against evil all the time.\par

¹² If God makes a decision,\par he does not change his mind.\par

¹³ God is prepared to punish bad people. {\cf2\super [38]} \par

¹⁴ Some people are always planning trouble.\par They make secret plans and tell lies.\par

¹⁵ They try to trap and hurt other people.\par But they will be hurt in their own traps.\par

¹⁶ They will receive the punishment\par they should get.\par They were cruel to other people.\par But they will get what they deserve.\par

¹⁷ I praise the Lord because he is good.\par I praise the name of the Lord Most-High.\par
