Surely you would not destroy the city. You would not destroy 50 good people to kill the evil people. If that happened, then good people and evil people would be the same—they would both be punished. You are the judge of all the earth. I know you will do the right thing.”


But the good Lord cut the ropes\par and set me free from those evil people.\par


Our God and Savior, stop being angry at us,\par and accept us again.\par


You criticized those other people.\par Lord, you destroyed those bad people.\par You erased their names forever and ever\par \{from the list of people who are alive\}.\par


At that time, the Lord will judge\par Leviathan, {\cf2\super [246]} the crooked snake.\par The Lord will use his great sword,\par his hard and powerful sword, to punish\par Leviathan, the coiled snake.\par The Lord will kill\par the large creature in the sea. {\cf2\super [247]} \par


The Lord says, “This will happen when my sword in the sky is covered with blood.”


Those \{magic\} signs mean nothing to the people of Israel. They have the promises they made. But \{the Lord\} will remember their sin! Then the Israelites will be captured.”


“You must say to them, ‘The Lord my Master says: On my life, I promise, I don’t enjoy seeing people die—not even evil people! I don’t want them to die. I want those evil people to come back to me. I want them to change their lives so they can really live! So come back to me! Stop doing bad things! Why must you die, family of Israel?’


The ax is now ready to cut down the trees. {\cf2\super [40]} Every tree that does not make good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.


So you must change your hearts and lives! Come back to God and he will forgive your sins.


I swear (promise), I will sharpen my flashing sword. I will use it to punish my enemies. I will give them the punishment they deserve.
