Isaiah 28 - King James Bible with Strong Numbers

H1945WoeH5850to the crownH1348of prideH7910, to the drunkardsH669of EphraimH6643, whose gloriousH8597beautyH5034is a fading[H8802] H6731flowerH7218, which are on the headH8081of the fatH1516valleysH1986of them that are overcome[H8803] H3196with wine!

H136Behold, the LordH2389hath a mightyH533and strong oneH2230, which as a tempestH1259of hailH6986and a destroyingH8178stormH2230, as a floodH3524of mightyH4325watersH7857overflowing[H8802] H3240, shall cast down[H8689] H776to the earthH3027with the hand.

H5850The crownH1348of prideH7910, the drunkardsH669of EphraimH7429, shall be trodden[H8735] H7272under feet:

H6643And the gloriousH8597beautyH7218, which is on the headH8081of the fatH1516valleyH5034, shall be a fading[H8802] H6733flowerH1061, and as the hasty fruitH7019before the summerH7200; which when he that looketh[H8802] H7200upon it seeth[H8799] H3709, while it is yet in his handH1104he eateth it up[H8799] .

H3117In that dayH3068shall the LORDH6635of hostsH5850be for a crownH6643of gloryH6843, and for a diademH8597of beautyH7605, unto the residueH5971of his people,

H7307And for a spiritH4941of judgmentH3427to him that sitteth[H8802] H4941in judgmentH1369, and for strengthH7725to them that turn[H8688] H4421the battleH8179to the gate.

H428But theyH7686also have erred[H8804] H3196through wineH7941, and through strong drinkH8582are out of the way[H8804] H3548; the priestH5030and the prophetH7686have erred[H8804] H7941through strong drinkH1104, they are swallowed up[H8738] H4480ofH3196wineH8582, they are out of the way[H8804] H7941through strong drinkH7686; they err[H8804] H7203in visionH6328, they stumble[H8804] H6417in judgment.

H7979For all tablesH4390are full[H8804] H6892of vomitH6675and filthinessH4725, so that there is no place clean .

H3384Whom shall he teach[H8686] H1844knowledgeH995? and whom shall he make to understand[H8799] H8052doctrineH1580? them that are weaned[H8803] H2461from the milkH6267, and drawnH7699from the breasts.

H6673For preceptH6673must be upon preceptH6673, preceptH6673upon preceptH6957; lineH6957upon lineH6957, lineH6957upon lineH2191; here a littleH2191, and there a little:

H3934For with stammeringH8193lipsH312and anotherH3956tongueH1696will he speak[H8762] H5971to this people.

H559To whom he said[H8804] H4496, This is the restH5889wherewith ye may cause the wearyH5117to rest[H8685] H4774; and this is the refreshingH14: yet they would[H8804] H8085not hear[H8800] .

H1697But the wordH3068of the LORDH6673was unto them preceptH6673upon preceptH6673, preceptH6673upon preceptH6957; lineH6957upon lineH6957, lineH6957upon lineH2191; here a littleH2191, and there a littleH3212; that they might go[H8799] H3782, and fall[H8804] H268backwardH7665, and be broken[H8738] H3369, and snared[H8738] H3920, and taken[H8738] .

H8085Wherefore hear[H8798] H1697the wordH3068of the LORDH3944, ye scornfulH582menH4910, that rule[H8802] H5971this peopleH3389which is in Jerusalem.

H559Because ye have said[H8804] H3772, We have made[H8804] H1285a covenantH4194with deathH7585, and with hellH6213are we[H8804] H2374at agreementH7857; when the overflowing[H8802] H7752scourge[H8675] H7885 H5674shall pass through[H8799] [H8675] H5674 [H8804] H935, it shall not come[H8799] H7760unto us: for we have made[H8804] H3577liesH4268our refugeH8267, and under falsehoodH5641have we hid[H8738]  ourselves:

H559Therefore thus saith[H8804] H136the LordH3069GODH3245, Behold, I lay[H8765] H6726in ZionH68for a foundation a stoneH976, a triedH68stoneH3368, a preciousH6438cornerH3245stone, a sure[H8716] H4143foundationH539: he that believeth[H8688] H2363shall not make haste[H8686] .

H4941JudgmentH7760also will I lay[H8804] H6957to the lineH6666, and righteousnessH4949to the plummetH1259: and the hailH3261shall sweep away[H8804] H4268the refugeH3577of liesH4325, and the watersH7857shall overflow[H8799] H5643the hiding place.

H1285And your covenantH4194with deathH3722shall be disannulled[H8795] H2380, and your agreementH7585with hellH6965shall not stand[H8799] H7857; when the overflowing[H8802] H7752scourgeH5674shall pass through[H8799] H4823, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

H1767From the timeH5674that it goeth forth[H8800] H3947it shall take[H8799] H1242you: for morningH1242by morningH5674shall it pass over[H8799] H3117, by dayH3915and by nightH2113: and it shall be a vexationH995only to understand[H8687] H8052the report.

H4702For the bedH7114is shorter[H8804] H8311than that a man can stretch[H8692] H4541himself on it : and the coveringH6887narrower[H8804] H3664than that he can wrap[H8692]  himself in it .

H3068For the LORDH6965shall rise up[H8799] H2022as in mountH6559PerazimH7264, he shall be wroth[H8799] H6010as in the valleyH1391of GibeonH6213, that he may do[H8800] H4639his workH2114, his strange[H8801] H4639workH5647; and bring to pass[H8800] H5656his actH5237, his strangeH5656act.

H3887Now therefore be ye not mockers[H8698] H4147, lest your bandsH2388be made strong[H8799] H8085: for I have heard[H8804] H136from the LordH3069GODH6635of hostsH3617a consumptionH2782, even determined[H8737] H776upon the whole earth.

H238Give ye ear[H8685] H8085, and hear[H8798] H6963my voiceH7181; hearken[H8685] H8085, and hear[H8798] H565my speech.

H2790Doth the plowman[H8802] H2790plow[H8799] H3117all dayH2232to sow[H8800] H6605? doth he open[H8762] H7702and break the clods[H8762] H127of his ground?

H7737When he hath made plain[H8765] H6440the faceH6327thereof, doth he not cast abroad[H8689] H7100the fitchesH2236, and scatter[H8799] H3646the cumminH7760, and cast[H8804] H7795in the principalH2406wheatH5567and the appointed[H8737] H8184barleyH3698and the rieH1367in their place?

H430For his GodH3256doth instruct[H8765] H4941him to discretionH3384, and doth teach[H8686]  him.

H7100For the fitchesH1758are not threshed[H8714] H2742with a threshing instrumentH5699, neither is a cartH212wheelH5437turned about[H8714] H3646upon the cumminH7100; but the fitchesH2251are beaten out[H8735] H4294with a staffH3646, and the cumminH7626with a rod.

H3899BreadH1854corn is bruised[H8714] H5331; because he will not everH156be threshing[H8800] H1758 [H8799] H2000it, nor break[H8804] H1536it with the wheelH5699of his cartH1854, nor bruise[H8799] H6571it with his horsemen.

H3318This also cometh forth[H8804] H3068from the LORDH6635of hostsH6381, which is wonderful[H8689] H6098in counselH1431, and excellent[H8689] H8454in working.
