Behold, there shall stand up[H8802] H7969yet threeH4428kingsH6539in PersiaH7243; and the fourthH6239shall be farH6238richer[H8686] H1419than they allH2393: and by his strengthH6239through his richesH5782he shall stir up[H8686] H4438all against the realmH3120of Grecia.

³ H1368And a mightyH4428kingH5975shall stand up[H8804] H4910, that shall rule[H8804] H7227with greatH4474dominionH6213, and do[H8804] H7522according to his will.

⁴ H5975And when he shall stand up[H8800] H4438, his kingdomH7665shall be broken[H8735] H2673, and shall be divided[H8735] H702toward the fourH7307windsH8064of heavenH319; and not to his posterityH4915, nor according to his dominionH4910which he ruled[H8804] H4438: for his kingdomH5428shall be plucked up[H8735] H312, even for others beside those.

⁵ H4428And the kingH5045of the southH2388shall be strong[H8799] H8269, and one of his princesH2388; and he shall be strong[H8799] H4910above him, and have dominion[H8804] H4475; his dominionH7227shall be a greatH4474dominion.

⁶ H7093And in the endH8141of yearsH2266they shall join themselves together[H8691] H4428; for the king'sH1323daughterH5045of the southH935shall come[H8799] H4428to the kingH6828of the northH6213to make[H8800] H4339an agreementH6113: but she shall not retain[H8799] H3581the powerH2220of the armH5975; neither shall he stand[H8799] H2220, nor his armH5414: but she shall be given up[H8735] H935, and they that brought[H8688] H3205her, and he that begat[H8802] H2388her, and he that strengthened[H8688] H6256her in these times.

⁷ H5342But out of a branchH8328of her rootsH5975shall one stand up[H8804] H3653in his estateH935, which shall come[H8799] H2428with an armyH935, and shall enter[H8799] H4581into the fortressH4428of the kingH6828of the northH6213, and shall deal[H8804] H2388against them, and shall prevail[H8689] :

⁸ H935And shall also carry[H8686] H7628captivesH4714into EgyptH430their godsH5257, with their princesH2532, and with their preciousH3627vesselsH3701of silverH2091and of goldH5975; and he shall continue[H8799] H8141more yearsH4428than the kingH6828of the north.

⁹ H4428So the kingH5045of the southH935shall come[H8804] H4438into his kingdomH7725, and shall return[H8804] H127into his own land.

¹⁰ H1121But his sonsH1624shall be stirred up[H8691] H622, and shall assemble[H8804] H1995a multitudeH7227of greatH2428forcesH935: and one shall certainly[H8800] H935come[H8804] H7857, and overflow[H8804] H5674, and pass through[H8804] H7725: then shall he return[H8799] H1624, and be stirred up[H8691] H4581, even to his fortress.

¹¹ H4428And the kingH5045of the southH4843shall be moved with choler[H8698] H3318, and shall come forth[H8804] H3898and fight[H8738] H4428with him, even with the kingH6828of the northH5975: and he shall set forth[H8689] H7227a greatH1995multitudeH1995; but the multitudeH5414shall be given[H8738] H3027into his hand.

¹² H5375And when he hath taken away[H8738] H1995the multitudeH3824, his heartH7311shall be lifted up[H8804] [H8675] H7311 [H8799] H5307; and he shall cast down[H8689] H7239many ten thousandsH5810: but he shall not be strengthened[H8799]  by it .

¹⁴ H6256And in those timesH7227there shall manyH5975stand up[H8799] H4428against the kingH5045of the southH1121: also the robbersH6530 H5971of thy peopleH5375shall exalt[H8691] H5975themselves to establish[H8687] H2377the visionH3782; but they shall fall[H8738] .

¹⁵ H4428So the kingH6828of the northH935shall come[H8799] H8210, and cast up[H8799] H5550a mountH3920, and take[H8804] H4013the most fencedH5892citiesH2220: and the armsH5045of the southH5975shall not withstand[H8799] H4005, neither his chosenH5971peopleH3581, neither shall there be any strengthH5975to withstand[H8800] .

¹⁶ H935But he that cometh[H8802] H6213against him shall do[H8799] H7522according to his own willH5975, and none shall stand[H8802] H6440beforeH5975him: and he shall stand[H8799] H6643in the gloriousH776landH3027, which by his handH3617shall be consumed.

¹⁷ H7760He shall also set[H8799] H6440his faceH935to enter[H8800] H8633with the strengthH4438of his whole kingdomH3477, and upright onesH6213with him; thus shall he do[H8804] H5414: and he shall give[H8799] H1323him the daughterH802of womenH7843, corrupting[H8687] H5975her: but she shall not stand[H8799]  on his side, neither be for him.

³⁰ H6716For the shipsH3794of ChittimH935shall come[H8804] H3512against him: therefore he shall be grieved[H8738] H7725, and return[H8804] H2194, and have indignation[H8804] H6944against the holyH1285covenantH6213: so shall he do[H8804] H7725; he shall even return[H8804] H995, and have intelligence[H8799] H5800with them that forsake[H8802] H6944the holyH1285covenant.

³¹ H2220And armsH5975shall stand[H8799] H2490on his part, and they shall pollute[H8765] H4720the sanctuaryH4581of strengthH5493, and shall take away[H8689] H8548the dailyH5414sacrifice, and they shall place[H8804] H8251the abominationH8074that maketh desolate[H8789] .

³² H7561And such as do wickedly[H8688] H1285against the covenantH2610shall he corrupt[H8686] H2514by flatteriesH5971: but the peopleH3045that do know[H8802] H430their GodH2388shall be strong[H8686] H6213, and do[H8804]  exploits .

³³ H7919And they that understand[H8688] H5971among the peopleH995shall instruct[H8799] H7227manyH3782: yet they shall fall[H8738] H2719by the swordH3852, and by flameH7628, by captivityH961, and by spoilH3117, many days.

³⁴ H3782Now when they shall fall[H8736] H5826, they shall be holpen[H8735] H4592with a littleH5828helpH7227: but manyH3867shall cleave[H8738] H2519to them with flatteries.

³⁵ H7919And some of them of understanding[H8688] H3782shall fall[H8735] H6884, to try[H8800] H1305them, and to purge[H8763] H3835, and to make them white[H8687] H6256, even to the timeH7093of the endH4150: because it is yet for a time appointed.

⁴¹ H935He shall enter[H8804] H6643also into the gloriousH776landH7227, and manyH3782countries shall be overthrown[H8735] H4422: but these shall escape[H8735] H3027out of his handH123, even EdomH4124, and MoabH7225, and the chiefH1121of the childrenH5983of Ammon.

⁴² H7971He shall stretch forth[H8799] H3027his handH776also upon the countriesH776: and the landH4714of EgyptH6413shall not escape.

⁴³ H4910But he shall have power[H8804] H4362over the treasuresH2091of goldH3701and of silverH2532, and over all the preciousH4714things of EgyptH3864: and the LibyansH3569and the EthiopiansH4703shall be at his steps.

⁴⁵ H5193And he shall plant[H8799] H168the tabernaclesH643of his palaceH3220between the seasH6643in the gloriousH6944holyH2022mountainH935; yet he shall come[H8804] H7093to his endH5826, and none shall help[H8802]  him.
