He grew up like a small plant before the Lord. He was like a root growing in dry ground. He did not look special. He had no special glory. If we looked at him, we would see nothing special that would cause us to like him.

This was the first miracle {\cf2\super [36]} that Jesus did. Jesus did this miracle in the town of Cana in Galilee. So Jesus showed his greatness. And his followers believed in him.
Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that every person that believes in him would not be lost, but have life forever.
The person that believes in God’s Son is not judged (condemned). But the person that does not believe is already judged. Why? Because that person has not believed in God’s only Son.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If a person eats this bread, then that person will live forever. This bread is my body. I will give my body so that the people in the world can have life.”
We are their children (descendants), and God has made this promise come true for us. God did this by raising Jesus from death. We also read about this in Psalm 2:
The law {\cf2\super [61]} was without power because the law was made weak by our sinful selves. But God did what the law could not do. God sent his own Son to earth with the same human life that other people use for sin. God sent his Son to be an offering to pay for sin. So God used a human life to condemn (destroy) sin.
Those people are the descendants {\cf2\super [74]} of our great fathers. {\cf2\super [75]} And they are the earthly family of Christ. Christ is God over all things. Praise him forever! {\cf2\super [76]} Amen.
The first man came from the dust of the earth. The second man (Christ) came from heaven.
But the Lord said to me, “My grace (kindness) is enough for you. When you are weak, then my power is made perfect in you.” So I am very happy to boast about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can live in me.
But when the right time came, God sent his Son. God’s Son was born from a woman. God’s Son lived under the law. {\cf2\super [48]}
I am the least important of all of God’s people. But God gave me this gift—to tell the non-Jewish people the Good News about the riches Christ has. Those riches are too great to understand fully.
The Son shows the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature. The Son holds everything together with his powerful command. The Son made people clean from their sins. Then he sat down at the right side {\cf2\super [2]} of the Great One (God) in heaven.
The One (Jesus) who makes people holy {\cf2\super [12]} and those people who are made holy are from the same family. So he (Jesus) is not ashamed to call those people his brothers and sisters.
It is the same with Christ. He did not choose himself to have the glory of becoming a high priest. But God chose him. God said to Christ,
We have seen that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. That is what we tell people now.
This is how God showed his love to us: God sent his only Son into the world to give us life through him.
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood. His name is the Word of God.
I heard a loud voice from the throne. The voice said, “Now God’s home is with people. He will live with them. They will be his people. God himself will be with them and will be their God.
