Psalm 85 - Easy To Read Version

¹ Lord, be kind to your country.\par Jacob’s \{people are exiles {\cf2\super [493]} \par in a foreign country.\}\par Bring the exiles back to their country.\par

² Lord, forgive your people!\par Erase their sins!\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [494]})\i0 \par

³ Lord, stop being angry.\par Don’t be mad.\par

⁴ Our God and Savior, stop being angry at us,\par and accept us again.\par

⁵ Will you be angry at us forever?\par

⁶ Please, make us live again!\par Make your people happy.\par

⁷ Lord, save us\par and show us that you love us.\par

⁸ I heard what the Lord God said.\par He said there would be peace\par for his people and loyal followers.\par So they must not go back to their foolish\par way of living.\par

⁹ God will soon save his followers.\par We will soon live with honor on our land.\par

¹⁰ God’s true love will meet his followers.\par Goodness and peace will greet them\par with a kiss.\par

¹¹ People on earth will be loyal to God,\par And God in heaven will be good to them. {\cf2\super [495]} \par

¹² The Lord will give us many good things.\par The ground will grow many good crops.\par

¹³ Goodness will go in front of God,\par and prepare the way for him.\par
