² H3117A dayH2822of darknessH653and of gloominessH3117, a dayH6051of cloudsH6205and of thick darknessH7837, as the morningH6566spread[H8803] H2022upon the mountainsH7227: a greatH5971peopleH6099and a strongH1961; there hath not been[H8738] H5769everH3254the like, neither shall be any more[H8686] H310afterH8141it, even to the yearsH1755of manyH1755generations.

³ H784A fireH398devoureth[H8804] H6440beforeH310them; and behindH3852them a flameH3857burneth[H8762] H776: the landH1588is as the gardenH5731of EdenH6440beforeH310them, and behindH8077them a desolateH4057wildernessH6413; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

⁴ H4758The appearanceH4758of them is as the appearanceH5483of horsesH6571; and as horsemenH7323, so shall they run[H8799] .

¹² H5002Therefore also now, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH7725, turn[H8798] H3824ye even to me with all your heartH6685, and with fastingH1065, and with weepingH4553, and with mourning:

¹⁶ H622Gather[H8798] H5971the peopleH6942, sanctify[H8761] H6951the congregationH6908, assemble[H8798] H2205the eldersH622, gather[H8798] H5768the childrenH3243, and those that suck[H8802] H7699the breastsH2860: let the bridegroomH3318go forth[H8799] H2315of his chamberH3618, and the brideH2646out of her closet.

¹⁷ H3548Let the priestsH8334, the ministers[H8764] H3068of the LORDH1058, weep[H8799] H197between the porchH4196and the altarH559, and let them say[H8799] H2347, Spare[H8798] H5971thy peopleH3068, O LORDH5414, and give[H8799] H5159not thine heritageH2781to reproachH1471, that the heathenH4910should rule over[H8800] H559them: wherefore should they say[H8799] H5971among the peopleH430, Where is their God?

¹⁸ H3068Then will the LORDH7065be jealous[H8762] H776for his landH2550, and pity[H8799] H5971his people.

¹⁹ H3068Yea, the LORDH6030will answer[H8799] H559and say[H8799] H5971unto his peopleH7971, Behold, I will send[H8802] H1715you cornH8492, and wineH3323, and oilH7646, and ye shall be satisfied[H8804] H5414therewith: and I will no more make[H8799] H2781you a reproachH1471among the heathen:

²⁰ H7368But I will remove far off[H8686] H6830from you the northernH5080army, and will drive[H8689] H776him into a landH6723barrenH8077and desolateH6440, with his faceH6931toward the eastH3220seaH5490, and his hinder partH314toward the utmostH3220seaH889, and his stinkH5927shall come up[H8804] H6709, and his ill savourH5927shall come up[H8799] H6213, because he hath done[H8800] H1431great things[H8689] .

²¹ H3372Fear[H8799] H127not, O landH1523; be glad[H8798] H8055and rejoice[H8798] H3068: for the LORDH6213will do[H8800] H1431great things[H8689] .

²² H3372Be not afraid[H8799] H929, ye beastsH7704of the fieldH4999: for the pasturesH4057of the wildernessH1876do spring[H8804] H6086, for the treeH5375beareth[H8804] H6529her fruitH8384, the fig treeH1612and the vineH5414do yield[H8804] H2428their strength.

²³ H1523Be glad[H8798] H1121then, ye childrenH6726of ZionH8055, and rejoice[H8798] H3068in the LORDH430your GodH5414: for he hath given[H8804] H4175you the former rainH6666moderatelyH3381, and he will cause to come down[H8686] H1653for you the rainH4175, the former rainH4456, and the latter rainH7223in the first month .

²⁴ H1637And the floorsH4390shall be full[H8804] H1250of wheatH3342, and the fatsH7783shall overflow[H8689] H8492with wineH3323and oil.

²⁵ H7999And I will restore[H8765] H8141to you the yearsH697that the locustH398hath eaten[H8804] H3218, the cankerwormH2625, and the caterpillerH1501, and the palmerwormH1419, my greatH2428armyH7971which I sent[H8765]  among you.

²⁶ H398And ye shall eat[H8804] H398in plenty[H8800] H7646, and be satisfied[H8800] H1984, and praise[H8765] H8034the nameH3068of the LORDH430your GodH6213, that hath dealt[H8804] H6381wondrously[H8687] H5971with you: and my peopleH5769shall neverH954be ashamed[H8799] .

²⁷ H3045And ye shall know[H8804] H7130that I am in the midstH3478of IsraelH3068, and that I am the LORDH430your GodH5971, and none else: and my peopleH5769shall neverH954be ashamed[H8799] .

²⁸ H310And it shall come to pass afterwardH8210, that I will pour out[H8799] H7307my spiritH1320upon all fleshH1121; and your sonsH1323and your daughtersH5012shall prophesy[H8738] H2205, your old menH2492shall dream[H8799] H2472dreamsH970, your young menH7200shall see[H8799] H2384visions:

³² H7121And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call[H8799] H8034on the nameH3068of the LORDH4422shall be delivered[H8735] H2022: for in mountH6726ZionH3389and in JerusalemH6413shall be deliveranceH3068, as the LORDH559hath said[H8804] H8300, and in the remnantH3068whom the LORDH7121shall call[H8802] .
