I will make your people as many as the dust of the earth. If people could count all the dust on earth, then they could count your people.
Then God led Abram outside. God said, “Look at the sky. See the many stars. There are so many you can’t count them. In the future, your family will be like that.”
I will give you many, many descendants. [94] New nations and kings will come from you.
After Abraham died, God blessed Isaac. And Isaac continued to live at Beer Lahai Roi.

Jacob stayed in that place for the night. Jacob prepared some things to give to Esau as a gift.

And now, there are even more of you! The Lord your God has added more and more people, so that today you are as many as the stars in the sky!
May the Lord, the God of your ancestors, [4] make you 1,000 times more than you are now! May he bless you like he promised!
When your ancestors [64] went down into Egypt, there were only 70 people. Now the Lord your God has made you many, many people—as many as the stars in the sky.
Everything in that city must be given to God to be destroyed. So you must not keep any of the things for yourselves. If you follow this command, then the Lord will stop being so angry at you.
