Saveus, O LORDour God,And gatherus from among the nations,To givethanksto Your holynameAnd gloryin Your praise.
And gatheredfrom the lands,From the eastand from the west,From the northand from the south.
For His angeris but for a moment,His favoris for a lifetime;Weepingmay lastfor the night,But a shoutof joy[comes] in the morning.
Now as for me, I saidin my prosperity,"I will neverbe moved."
Then it will happenon that daythat the LordWill againrecoverthe secondtimewith His handThe remnantof His people,whowill remain,From Assyria,Egypt,Pathros,Cush,Elam,Shinar,Hamath,And from the islandsof the sea.
And He will liftup a standardfor the nationsAnd assemblethe banishedones of Israel,And will gatherthe dispersedof JudahFrom the fourcornersof the earth.
Then you will sayon that day,"I will givethanksto You, O LORD;For although You were angrywith me, Your angeris turnedaway,And You comfortme.
Whenthe LORDwill havecompassionon Jacoband againchooseIsrael,and settlethem in their own land,then strangerswill jointhem and attachthemselves to the houseof Jacob.
Come,my people,enterinto your roomsAnd closeyour doorsbehindyou; Hidefor a littlewhileUntilindignationruns[its] course.
In that daythe LORDwill start [His] threshingfrom the flowingstreamof the Euphratesto the brookof Egypt,and you will be gatheredup oneby one,O sonsof Israel.
You contendedwith them by banishingthem, by drivingthem away.With His fiercewindHe has expelled[them] on the dayof the eastwind.
Like a shepherdHe will tendHis flock,In His armHe will gatherthe lambsAnd carry[them] in His bosom;He will gently leadthe nursing[ewes].
Shoutfor joy,O heavens!And rejoice,O earth!Breakforthinto joyfulshouting,O mountains!For the LORDhas comfortedHis peopleAnd will havecompassionon His afflicted.
"Liftup your eyesand lookaround;Allof them gathertogether, they cometo you. As I live,"declaresthe LORD,"You will surelyputon allof them as jewelsand bindthem on as a bride.
"Then you will sayin your heart,'Whohas begottenthesefor me, Since I have beenbereavedof my childrenAnd am barren,an exileand a wanderer?And whohas rearedthese?Behold,I was leftalone;From wheredid thesecome?'"
Thussaysthe LORD,"Whereis the certificateof divorceBy whichI have sentyour motheraway?Orto whomof My creditorsdid I sellyou? Behold,you were soldfor your iniquities,And for your transgressionsyour motherwas sentaway.
The LordGOD,who gathersthe dispersedof Israel,declares,"Yet[others] I will gatherto them, to those [already] gathered."
"Foreignerswill buildup your walls,And their kingswill ministerto you; For in My wrathI struckyou, And in My favorI have hadcompassionon you.
"Liftup your eyesroundaboutand see;They allgathertogether, they cometo you. Your sonswill comefrom afar,And your daughterswill be carriedin the arms.
It will nolongerbe saidto you, "Forsaken,"Norto your landwill it anylongerbe said,"Desolate";But you will be called,"My delightis in her," And your land,"Married";For the LORDdelightsin you, And [to Him] your landwill be married.
I shall makementionof the lovingkindnessesof the LORD,the praisesof the LORD,Accordingto allthat the LORDhas grantedus, And the greatgoodnesstoward the houseof Israel,WhichHe has grantedthem according to His compassionAnd according to the abundanceof His lovingkindnesses.
"For I know their worksand their thoughts;the time is comingto gatherallnationsand tongues.And they shall comeand seeMy glory.
For neitherIsraelnorJudahhas been forsakenBy his God,the LORDof hosts,Althoughtheir landis fullof guiltBeforethe HolyOneof Israel.
For the Lordwill not rejectforever,
For ifHe causesgrief,Then He will havecompassionAccording to His abundantlovingkindness.
"For I will takeyou from the nations,gatheryou from allthe landsand bringyou into your own land.
"In that day,"declaresthe LORD,"I will assemblethe lameAnd gatherthe outcasts,Even those whomI have afflicted.
"Jerusalem,Jerusalem,who killsthe prophetsand stonesthosewho are sentto her! How oftenI wantedto gatheryour childrentogether,the waya hengathersher chicksunderher wings,and you were unwilling.
For momentary,lightafflictionis producingfor us an eternalweightof gloryfarbeyondall comparison,
with a viewto an administrationsuitableto the fullnessof the times,[that is], the summingup of all thingsin Christ,things in the heavensand things on the earth.In Him
then the LORDyour Godwill restoreyou from captivity,and havecompassionon you, and will gatheryou againfrom allthe peopleswherethe LORDyour Godhas scatteredyou.
But He givesa greatergrace.Therefore[it] says,"GODIS OPPOSEDTO THE PROUD,BUT GIVESGRACETO THE HUMBLE."
But do not let thisone[fact] escape your notice,beloved,that with the Lordonedayis likea thousandyears,and a thousandyearslikeoneday.
