"Speakkindlyto Jerusalem;And callout to her, that her warfarehas ended,That her iniquityhas been removed,That she has receivedof the LORD'ShandDoublefor allher sins."
Returnto the stronghold,O prisonerswho have the hope;This verydayI am declaringthat I will restoredoubleto you.
Insteadof your shame[you will have a] double[portion], And [instead of] humiliationthey will shoutfor joyover their portion.Thereforethey will possessa double[portion] in their land,Everlastingjoywill be theirs.
"Therefore,behold,I will allureher, Bringher into the wildernessAnd speakkindlyto her.
"Payher backevenas she has paid,and give back [to her] doubleaccordingto her deeds;in the cupwhichshe has mixed,mixtwice as muchfor her.
"I will firstdoublyrepaytheir iniquityand their sin,becausethey have pollutedMy land;they have filledMy inheritancewith the carcassesof their detestableidolsand with their abominations."
"I have wipedout your transgressionslike a thickcloudAnd your sinslike a heavymist.Returnto Me, for I have redeemedyou."
"I, even I, am the one who wipesout your transgressionsfor My own sake,And I will not rememberyour sins.
"For the visionis yetfor the appointedtime;It hastenstoward the goaland it will not fail.Thoughit tarries,waitfor it; For it will certainlycome,it will not delay.
For I knowthe plansthat I havefor you,' declaresthe LORD,'plansfor welfareand not for calamityto giveyou a futureand a hope.
Sayto those with anxiousheart,"Takecourage,fearnot. Behold,your Godwill come[with] vengeance;The recompenseof Godwill come,But He will saveyou."
He saidto them, "It is not for you to knowtimesorepochswhichthe Fatherhas fixedby His ownauthority;
"Someof those who haveinsightwill fall,in order to refine,purgeand makethem pureuntilthe endtime;because[it is] still[to come] at the appointedtime.
Then you will sayon that day,"I will givethanksto You, O LORD;For although You were angrywith me, Your angeris turnedaway,And You comfortme.
But whenthe fullnessof the timecame,Godsent forthHis Son,bornof a woman,bornunderthe Law,
Surely,thussaysthe LORD,"Eventhe captivesof the mightymanwill be takenaway, And the preyof the tyrantwill be rescued;For I will contendwith the onewhocontendswith you, And I will saveyour sons.
And noresidentwill say,"I am sick";The peoplewho dwellthere will be forgiven[their] iniquity.
How blessedis he whose transgressionis forgiven,Whose sinis covered!
"But I am veryangrywith the nationswho are at ease;for while I was only a littleangry,they furtheredthe disaster."
He said,"Go[your way], Daniel,for [these] wordsare concealedand sealedup untilthe endtime.
"But as for you, Daniel,concealthese wordsand sealup the bookuntilthe endof time;manywill gobackand forth,and knowledgewill increase."
"Thus He has confirmedHis wordswhichHe had spokenagainstus and againstour rulerswhoruledus, to bringon us greatcalamity;for underthe wholeheaventhere has not been done[anything] like whatwas doneto Jerusalem.
in the firstyearof his reign,I, Daniel,observedin the booksthe numberof the yearswhichwas [revealed as] the wordof the LORDto Jeremiahthe prophetfor the completionof the desolationsof Jerusalem,[namely], seventyyears.
Let those who persecuteme be putto shame,but as for me, let me not be putto shame;Let them be dismayed,but let me not be dismayed.Bringon them a dayof disaster,And crushthem with twofolddestruction!
Then Hezekiahspokeencouraginglyto allthe Leviteswho showedgoodinsight[in the things] of the LORD.So they atefor the appointedsevendays,sacrificingpeaceofferingsand givingthanksto the LORDGodof their fathers.
He was deeplyattractedto Dinahthe daughterof Jacob,and he lovedthe girland spoketenderlyto her.
He touchedmy mouth[with it] and said,"Behold,thishas touchedyour lips;and your iniquityis takenawayand your sinis forgiven."
And it will be in the daywhen the LORDgivesyou restfrom your painand turmoiland harshservicein whichyou have been enslaved,
But He was piercedthroughfor our transgressions,He was crushedfor our iniquities;The chasteningfor our well-being[fell] upon Him, And by His scourgingwe are healed.
Allof us like sheephave goneastray,Eachof us has turnedto his own way;But the LORDhas caused the iniquityof us allTo fallon Him.
"Ifanyone fiercelyassails[you] it will not be from Me. Whoeverassailsyou will fallbecauseof you.
"Noweaponthat is formedagainstyou will prosper;And everytonguethat accusesyou in judgmentyou will condemn.Thisis the heritageof the servantsof the LORD,And their vindicationis from Me," declaresthe LORD.
Let the wickedforsakehis wayAnd the unrighteousmanhis thoughts;And let him returnto the LORD,And He will havecompassionon him, And to our God,For He will abundantlypardon.
"As onewhomhis mothercomforts,soI will comfortyou; And you will be comfortedin Jerusalem."
The LORDhas broughtaboutour vindication;Comeand let us recountin ZionThe workof the LORDour God!
[The punishment] of your iniquityhas beencompleted,O daughterof Zion;He will exileyou nolonger.[But] He will punishyour iniquity,O daughterof Edom;He will exposeyour sins!
"So I will calmMy furyagainst you and My jealousywill departfrom you, and I will be pacifiedand angrynomore.
The LORDansweredthe angelwho was speakingwith me with graciouswords,comfortingwords.
"[But] ifthe sunhas risenon him, there will be bloodguiltinesson his account. He shall surelymakerestitution;ifhe owns nothing,then he shall be soldfor his theft.
You withdrewallYour fury;You turnedawayfrom Your burninganger.
A timeto weepand a timeto laugh;A timeto mournand a timeto dance.
Thereforethrough thisJacob'siniquitywill be forgiven;And thiswill be the fullpriceof the pardoningof his sin:When he makesallthe altarstoneslike pulverizedchalkstones;[When] Asherimand incensealtarswill not stand.
Rouseyourself!Rouseyourself!Arise,O Jerusalem,You whohave drunkfrom the LORD'Shandthe cupof His anger;The chaliceof reelingyou have drainedto the dregs.
"It will comeabout in that day,"declaresthe LORD,"That you will callMe IshiAnd will nolongercallMe Baali.
The LORDhas takenaway[His] judgmentsagainst you, He has clearedawayyour enemies.The Kingof Israel,the LORD,is in your midst;You will feardisasternomore.
