³ H2205And all the eldersH3478of IsraelH935came[H8799] H3548, and the priestsH5375took up[H8799] H727the ark.

⁴ H5927And they brought up[H8686] H727the arkH3068of the LORDH168, and the tabernacleH4150of the congregationH6944, and all the holyH3627vesselsH168that were in the tabernacleH3548, even those did the priestsH3881and the LevitesH5927bring up[H8686] .

⁵ H4428And kingH8010SolomonH5712, and all the congregationH3478of IsraelH3259, that were assembled[H8737] H6440unto him, were with him beforeH727the arkH2076, sacrificing[H8764] H6629sheepH1241and oxenH5608, that could not be told[H8735] H4487nor numbered[H8735] H7230for multitude.

⁶ H3548And the priestsH935brought in[H8686] H727the arkH1285of the covenantH3068of the LORDH4725unto his placeH1687, into the oracleH1004of the houseH6944, to the mostH6944holyH3671place, even under the wingsH3742of the cherubims.

⁷ H3742For the cherubimsH6566spread forth[H8802] H3671their two wingsH4725over the placeH727of the arkH3742, and the cherubimsH5526covered[H8799] H727the arkH905and the stavesH4605thereof above.

⁸ H748And they drew out[H8686] H905the stavesH7218, that the endsH905of the stavesH7200were seen out[H8735] H6944in the holyH6440place beforeH1687the oracleH7200, and they were not seen[H8735] H2351withoutH3117: and there they are unto this day.

¹¹ H3548So that the priestsH3201could[H8804] H5975not stand[H8800] H8334to minister[H8763] H6440becauseH6051of the cloudH3519: for the gloryH3068of the LORDH4390had filled[H8804] H1004the houseH3068of the LORD.

¹² H559Then spake[H8804] H8010SolomonH3068, The LORDH559said[H8804] H7931that he would dwell[H8800] H6205in the thick darkness.

¹³ H1129I have surely[H8800] H1129built[H8804] H1004thee an houseH2073to dwell inH4349, a settled placeH3427for thee to abide in[H8800] H5769for ever.

¹⁴ H4428And the kingH5437turnedH6440his faceH5437about[H8686] H1288, and blessed[H8762] H6951all the congregationH3478of IsraelH6951: (and all the congregationH3478of IsraelH5975stood[H8802] ;)

¹⁵ H559And he said[H8799] H1288, Blessed[H8803] H3068be the LORDH430GodH3478of IsraelH1696, which spake[H8765] H6310with his mouthH1732unto DavidH1my fatherH3027, and hath with his handH4390fulfilled[H8765] H559it, saying[H8800] ,

¹⁷ H3824And it was in the heartH1732of DavidH1my fatherH1129to build[H8800] H1004an houseH8034for the nameH3068of the LORDH430GodH3478of Israel.

¹⁸ H3068And the LORDH559said[H8799] H1732unto DavidH1my fatherH3282, WhereasH834 H3824it was in thine heartH1129to build[H8800] H1004an houseH8034unto my nameH2895, thou didst well[H8689] H3824that it was in thine heart.

¹⁹ H7535NeverthelessH1129thou shalt not build[H8799] H1004the houseH1121; but thy sonH3318that shall come forth out[H8802] H2504of thy loinsH1129, he shall build[H8799] H1004the houseH8034unto my name.

²⁰ H3068And the LORDH6965hath performed[H8686] H1697his wordH1696that he spake[H8765] H6965, and I am risen up[H8799] H1732in the room of DavidH1my fatherH3427, and sit[H8799] H3678on the throneH3478of IsraelH3068, as the LORDH1696promised[H8765] H1129, and have built[H8799] H1004an houseH8034for the nameH3068of the LORDH430GodH3478of Israel.

²¹ H7760And I have set[H8799] H4725there a placeH727for the arkH1285, wherein is the covenantH3068of the LORDH3772, which he made[H8804] H1with our fathersH3318, when he brought them out[H8687] H776of the landH4714of Egypt.

²² H8010And SolomonH5975stood[H8799] H6440beforeH4196the altarH3068of the LORDH5048in the presence ofH6951all the congregationH3478of IsraelH6566, and spread forth[H8799] H3709his handsH8064toward heaven:

²³ H559And he said[H8799] H3068, LORDH430GodH3478of IsraelH430, there is no GodH8064like thee, in heavenH4605aboveH776, or on earthH8104beneath, who keepest[H8802] H1285covenantH2617and mercyH5650with thy servantsH1980that walk[H8802] H6440beforeH3820thee with all their heart:

²⁴ H8104Who hast kept[H8804] H5650with thy servantH1732DavidH1my fatherH1696that thou promisedst[H8765] H1696him: thou spakest[H8762] H6310also with thy mouthH4390, and hast fulfilled[H8765] H3027it with thine handH3117, as it is this day.

²⁵ H3068Therefore now, LORDH430GodH3478of IsraelH8104, keep[H8798] H5650with thy servantH1732DavidH1my fatherH1696that thou promisedst[H8765] H559him, saying[H8800] H3772, There shall not fail[H8735] H376thee a manH6440in my sightH3427to sit[H8802] H3678on the throneH3478of IsraelH7535; soH1121that thy childrenH8104take heed[H8799] H1870to their wayH3212, that they walk[H8800] H6440beforeH1980me as thou hast walked[H8804] H6440before me.

²⁶ H430And now, O GodH3478of IsraelH1697, let thy wordH539, I pray thee, be verified[H8735] H1696, which thou spakest[H8765] H5650unto thy servantH1732DavidH1my father.

²⁷ H430But will GodH552indeedH3427dwell[H8799] H776on the earthH8064? behold, the heavenH8064and heavenH8064of heavensH3557cannot contain[H8770] H637thee; how much lessH1004this houseH1129that I have builded[H8804] ?

²⁸ H6437Yet have thou respect[H8804] H8605unto the prayerH5650of thy servantH8467, and to his supplicationH3068, O LORDH430my GodH8085, to hearken[H8800] H7440unto the cryH8605and to the prayerH5650, which thy servantH6419prayeth[H8693] H6440beforeH3117thee to day:

²⁹ H5869That thine eyesH6605may be open[H8803] H1004toward this houseH3915nightH3117and dayH4725, even toward the placeH559of which thou hast said[H8804] H8034, My nameH8085shall be there: that thou mayest hearken[H8800] H8605unto the prayerH5650which thy servantH6419shall make[H8691] H4725toward this place.

³⁰ H8085And hearken[H8804] H8467thou to the supplicationH5650of thy servantH5971, and of thy peopleH3478IsraelH6419, when they shall pray[H8691] H4725toward this placeH8085: and hear[H8799] H8064thou in heavenH3427thy dwelling[H8800] H4725placeH8085: and when thou hearest[H8804] H5545, forgive[H8804] .

³¹ H376If any manH2398trespass[H8799] H7453against his neighbourH423, and an oathH5375be laid[H8804] H422upon him to cause him to swear[H8687] H423, and the oathH935come[H8804] H6440beforeH4196thine altarH1004in this house:

³³ H5971When thy peopleH3478IsraelH5062be smitten down[H8736] H6440beforeH341the enemy[H8802] H2398, because they have sinned[H8799] H7725against thee, and shall turn again[H8804] H3034to thee, and confess[H8689] H8034thy nameH6419, and pray[H8694] H2603, and make supplication[H8694] H1004unto thee in this house:

³⁴ H8085Then hear[H8799] H8064thou in heavenH5545, and forgive[H8804] H2403the sinH5971of thy peopleH3478IsraelH7725, and bring them again[H8689] H127unto the landH5414which thou gavest[H8804] H1unto their fathers.

³⁵ H8064When heavenH6113is shut up[H8736] H4306, and there is no rainH2398, because they have sinned[H8799] H6419against thee; if they pray[H8694] H4725toward this placeH3034, and confess[H8689] H8034thy nameH7725, and turn[H8799] H2403from their sinH6031, when thou afflictest[H8686]  them:

³⁶ H8085Then hear[H8799] H8064thou in heavenH5545, and forgive[H8804] H2403the sinH5650of thy servantsH5971, and of thy peopleH3478IsraelH3384, that thou teach[H8686] H2896them the goodH1870wayH3212wherein they should walk[H8799] H5414, and give[H8804] H4306rainH776upon thy landH5414, which thou hast given[H8804] H5971to thy peopleH5159for an inheritance.

³⁷ H776If there be in the landH7458famineH1698, if there be pestilenceH7711, blastingH3420, mildewH697, locustH2625, or if there be caterpillerH341; if their enemy[H8802] H6887besiege[H8686] H776them in the landH8179of their citiesH5061; whatsoever plagueH4245, whatsoever sickness there be;

³⁸ H8605What prayerH8467and supplicationH120soever be made by any manH5971, or by all thy peopleH3478IsraelH3045, which shall know[H8799] H376every manH5061the plagueH3824of his own heartH6566, and spread forth[H8804] H3709his handsH1004toward this house:

³⁹ H8085Then hear[H8799] H8064thou in heavenH3427thy dwelling[H8800] H4349placeH5545, and forgive[H8804] H6213, and do[H8804] H5414, and give[H8804] H376to every manH1870according to his waysH3824, whose heartH3045thou knowest[H8799] H3045; (for thou, even thou only, knowest[H8804] H3824the heartsH1121of all the childrenH120of men;)

⁴⁰ H3372That they may fear[H8799] H3117thee all the daysH2416that they liveH6440inH127the landH5414which thou gavest[H8804] H1unto our fathers.

⁴¹ H5237Moreover concerning a strangerH5971, that is not of thy peopleH3478IsraelH935, but cometh out[H8804] H7350of a farH776countryH4616forH8034thy name's sake;

⁴² H8085(For they shall hear[H8799] H1419of thy greatH8034nameH2389, and of thy strongH3027handH5186, and of thy stretched out[H8803] H2220armH935;) when he shall come[H8804] H6419and pray[H8694] H1004toward this house;

⁴³ H8085Hear[H8799] H8064thou in heavenH3427thy dwelling[H8800] H4349placeH6213, and do[H8804] H5237according to all that the strangerH7121calleth[H8799] H5971to thee for: that all peopleH776of the earthH3045may know[H8799] H8034thy nameH3372, to fear[H8800] H5971thee, as do thy peopleH3478IsraelH3045; and that they may know[H8800] H1004that this houseH1129, which I have builded[H8804] H7121, is called[H8738] H8034by thy name.

⁴⁴ H5971If thy peopleH3318go out[H8799] H4421to battleH341against their enemy[H8802] H1870, whithersoeverH7971thou shalt send[H8799] H6419them, and shall pray[H8694] H3068unto the LORDH1870towardH5892the cityH977which thou hast chosen[H8804] H1004, and toward the houseH1129that I have built[H8804] H8034for thy name:

⁴⁵ H8085Then hear[H8804] H8064thou in heavenH8605their prayerH8467and their supplicationH6213, and maintain[H8804] H4941their cause.

⁴⁶ H2398If they sin[H8799] H120against thee, (for there is no manH2398that sinneth[H8799] H599not,) and thou be angry[H8804] H5414with them, and deliver[H8804] H341them to the enemy[H8802] H7617, so that they carry them away[H8804] H7617captives[H8802] H6440untoH776the landH341of the enemy[H8802] H7350, farH7138or near;

⁴⁷ H7725Yet if they shall bethink[H8689] H776themselves in the landH7617whither they were carried captives[H8738] H7725, and repent[H8804] H3820 H2603, and make supplication[H8694] H776unto thee in the landH7617of them that carried them captives[H8802] H559, saying[H8800] H2398, We have sinned[H8804] H5753, and have done perversely[H8689] H7561, we have committed wickedness[H8804] ;

⁴⁸ H7725And so return[H8804] H3824unto thee with all their heartH5315, and with all their soulH776, in the landH341of their enemies[H8802] H7617, which led them away captive[H8804] H6419, and pray[H8694] H1870unto thee towardH776their landH5414, which thou gavest[H8804] H1unto their fathersH5892, the cityH977which thou hast chosen[H8804] H1004, and the houseH1129which I have built[H8804] H8034for thy name:

⁴⁹ H8085Then hear[H8804] H8605thou their prayerH8467and their supplicationH8064in heavenH3427thy dwelling[H8800] H4349placeH6213, and maintain[H8804] H4941their cause,

⁵⁰ H5545And forgive[H8804] H5971thy peopleH2398that have sinned[H8804] H6588against thee, and all their transgressionsH6586wherein they have transgressed[H8804] H5414against thee, and give[H8804] H7356them compassionH6440beforeH7617them who carried them captive[H8802] H7355, that they may have compassion[H8765]  on them:

⁵¹ H5971For they be thy peopleH5159, and thine inheritanceH3318, which thou broughtest forth[H8689] H4714out of EgyptH8432, from the midstH3564of the furnaceH1270of iron:

⁵² H5869That thine eyesH6605may be open[H8803] H8467unto the supplicationH5650of thy servantH8467, and unto the supplicationH5971of thy peopleH3478IsraelH8085, to hearken[H8800] H7121unto them in all that they call[H8800]  for unto thee.

⁵³ H914For thou didst separate[H8689] H5971them from among all the peopleH776of the earthH5159, to be thine inheritanceH1696, as thou spakest[H8765] H3027by the handH4872of MosesH5650thy servantH3318, when thou broughtest[H8687] H1our fathersH4714out of EgyptH136, O LordH3069GOD.

⁵⁴ H8010And it was so, that when SolomonH3615had made an end[H8763] H6419of praying[H8692] H8605all this prayerH8467and supplicationH3068unto the LORDH6965, he arose[H8804] H6440from beforeH4196the altarH3068of the LORDH3766, from kneeling[H8800] H1290on his kneesH3709with his handsH6566spread up[H8803] H8064to heaven.

⁵⁵ H5975And he stood[H8799] H1288, and blessed[H8762] H6951all the congregationH3478of IsraelH1419with a loudH6963voiceH559, saying[H8800] ,

⁵⁶ H1288Blessed[H8803] H3068be the LORDH5414, that hath given[H8804] H4496restH5971unto his peopleH3478IsraelH1696, according to all that he promised[H8765] H5307: there hath not failed[H8804] H259oneH1697wordH2896of all his goodH1697promiseH1696, which he promised[H8765] H3027by the handH4872of MosesH5650his servant.

⁵⁷ H3068The LORDH430our GodH1be with us, as he was with our fathersH5800: let him not leave[H8799] H5203us, nor forsake[H8799]  us:

⁵⁸ H5186That he may incline[H8687] H3824our heartsH3212unto him, to walk[H8800] H1870in all his waysH8104, and to keep[H8800] H4687his commandmentsH2706, and his statutesH4941, and his judgmentsH6680, which he commanded[H8765] H1our fathers.

⁵⁹ H1697And let these my wordsH2603, wherewith I have made supplication[H8694] H6440beforeH3068the LORDH7138, be nighH3068unto the LORDH430our GodH3119dayH3915and nightH6213, that he maintain[H8800] H4941the causeH5650of his servantH4941, and the causeH5971of his peopleH3478IsraelH3117at all timesH3117 H1697, as the matter shall require:

⁶⁰ H5971That all the peopleH776of the earthH3045may know[H8800] H3068that the LORDH430is God, and that there is none else.

⁶¹ H3824Let your heartH8003therefore be perfectH3068with the LORDH430our GodH3212, to walk[H8800] H2706in his statutesH8104, and to keep[H8800] H4687his commandmentsH3117, as at this day.

⁶² H4428And the kingH3478, and all IsraelH2076with him, offered[H8802] H2077sacrificeH6440beforeH3068the LORD.

⁶³ H8010And SolomonH2076offered[H8799] H2077a sacrificeH8002of peace offeringsH2076, which he offered[H8804] H3068unto the LORDH8147, twoH6242and twentyH505thousandH1241oxenH3967, and an hundredH6242and twentyH505thousandH6629sheepH4428. So the kingH1121and all the childrenH3478of IsraelH2596dedicated[H8799] H1004the houseH3068of the LORD.

⁶⁴ H3117The same dayH4428did the kingH6942hallow[H8765] H8432the middleH2691of the courtH6440that was beforeH1004the houseH3068of the LORDH6213: for there he offered[H8804] H5930burnt offeringsH4503, and meat offeringsH2459, and the fatH8002of the peace offeringsH5178: because the brasenH4196altarH6440that was beforeH3068the LORDH6996was too littleH3557to receive[H8687] H5930the burnt offeringsH4503, and meat offeringsH2459, and the fatH8002of the peace offerings.

⁶⁵ H6256And at that timeH8010SolomonH6213held[H8799] H2282a feastH3478, and all IsraelH1419with him, a greatH6951congregationH935, from the entering[H8800] H2574in of HamathH5158unto the riverH4714of EgyptH6440, beforeH3068the LORDH430our GodH7651, sevenH3117daysH7651and sevenH3117daysH702, even fourteenH6240 H3117days.

⁶⁶ H8066On the eighthH3117dayH7971he sentH5971the peopleH7971away[H8765] H1288: and they blessed[H8762] H4428the kingH3212, and went[H8799] H168unto their tentsH8056joyfulH2896and gladH3820of heartH2896for all the goodnessH3068that the LORDH6213had done[H8804] H1732for DavidH5650his servantH3478, and for IsraelH5971his people.
