"Now behold,herecomesa troopof riders,horsemenin pairs."And one said,"Fallen,fallenis Babylon;And allthe imagesof her godsare shatteredon the ground."
Belhas boweddown,Nebostoopsover;Their imagesare [consigned] to the beastsand the cattle.The thingsthat you carryare burdensome,A loadfor the weary[beast].
They stoopedover,they have boweddowntogether;They couldnot rescuethe burden,But have themselvesgoneinto captivity.
"Liftup your eyesand lookaround;Allof them gathertogether, they cometo you. As I live,"declaresthe LORD,"You will surelyputon allof them as jewelsand bindthem on as a bride.

The LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,says,"Behold,I am going to punishAmonof Thebes,and Pharaoh,and Egyptalong with her godsand her kings,even Pharaohand those who trustin him.
"For becauseof your trustin your own achievementsand treasures,Evenyou yourselfwill be captured;And Chemoshwill gooffinto exileTogetherwith his priestsand his princes.
"I will setfireto the wallof Damascus,And it will devourthe fortifiedtowersof Ben-hadad."

"Alsotheir godswith their metalimages[and] their preciousvesselsof silverand goldhe will takeinto captivityto Egypt,and he on his partwill refrainfrom [attacking] the kingof the Northfor [some] years.
The LORDwill be terrifyingto them, for He will starveallthe godsof the earth;and allthe coastlandsof the nationswill bowdownto Him, everyonefrom his [own] place.
The nightis almost gone,and the dayis near.Thereforelet us lay asidethe deedsof darknessand puton the armorof light.
and puton the newself,which in [the likeness of] Godhas been createdin righteousnessand holinessof the truth.
Puton the full armorof God,sothat you will be ableto stand firmagainstthe schemesof the devil.
So,as those who have been chosenof God,holyand beloved,puton a heartof compassion,kindness,humility,gentlenessand patience;
Beyondallthese things[put on] love,whichis the perfectbond of unity.
