² H559Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH5975; Stand[H8798] H2691in the courtH3068of the LORD'SH1004houseH1696, and speak[H8765] H5892unto all the citiesH3063of JudahH935, which come[H8802] H7812to worship[H8692] H3068in the LORD'SH1004houseH1697, all the wordsH6680that I command[H8765] H1696thee to speak[H8763] H1639unto them; diminish[H8799] H1697not a word:

³ H8085If so be they will hearken[H8799] H7725, and turn[H8799] H376every manH7451from his evilH1870wayH5162, that I may repent[H8738] H7451me of the evilH2803, which I purpose[H8802] H6213to do[H8800] H6440unto them becauseH7455of the evilH4611of their doings.

⁴ H559And thou shalt say[H8804] H559unto them, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH8085; If ye will not hearken[H8799] H3212to me, to walk[H8800] H8451in my lawH5414, which I have set[H8804] H6440before you,

⁵ H8085To hearken[H8800] H1697to the wordsH5650of my servantsH5030the prophetsH7971, whom I sent[H8802] H7925unto you, both rising up early[H8687] H7971, and sending[H8800] H8085them, but ye have not hearkened[H8804] ;

⁶ H5414Then will I make[H8804] H1004this houseH7887like ShilohH5414, and will make[H8799] H5892this cityH7045a curseH1471to all the nationsH776of the earth.

⁷ H3548So the priestsH5030and the prophetsH5971and all the peopleH8085heard[H8799] H3414JeremiahH1696speaking[H8764] H1697these wordsH1004in the houseH3068of the LORD.

⁸ H3414Now it came to pass, when JeremiahH3615had made an end[H8763] H1696of speaking[H8763] H3068all that the LORDH6680had commanded[H8765] H1696him to speak[H8763] H5971unto all the peopleH3548, that the priestsH5030and the prophetsH5971and all the peopleH8610took[H8799] H559him, saying[H8800] H4191, Thou shalt surely[H8800] H4191die[H8799] .

⁹ H5012Why hast thou prophesied[H8738] H8034in the nameH3068of the LORDH559, saying[H8800] H1004, This houseH7887shall be like ShilohH5892, and this cityH2717shall be desolate[H8799] H3427without an inhabitant[H8802] H5971? And all the peopleH6950were gathered[H8735] H3414against JeremiahH1004in the houseH3068of the LORD.

¹⁰ H8269When the princesH3063of JudahH8085heard[H8799] H1697these thingsH5927, then they came up[H8799] H4428from the king'sH1004houseH1004unto the houseH3068of the LORDH3427, and sat down[H8799] H6607in the entryH2319of the newH8179gateH3068of the LORD'S house .

¹¹ H559Then spake[H8799] H3548the priestsH5030and the prophetsH8269unto the princesH5971and to all the peopleH559, saying[H8800] H376, This manH4941is worthyH4194to dieH5012; for he hath prophesied[H8738] H5892against this cityH8085, as ye have heard[H8804] H241with your ears.

¹² H559Then spake[H8799] H3414JeremiahH8269unto all the princesH5971and to all the peopleH559, saying[H8800] H3068, The LORDH7971sent[H8804] H5012me to prophesy[H8736] H1004against this houseH5892and against this cityH1697all the wordsH8085that ye have heard[H8804] .

¹³ H3190Therefore now amend[H8685] H1870your waysH4611and your doingsH8085, and obey[H8798] H6963the voiceH3068of the LORDH430your GodH3068; and the LORDH5162will repent[H8735] H7451him of the evilH1696that he hath pronounced[H8765]  against you.

¹⁴ H3027As for me, behold, I am in your handH6213: do[H8798] H5869with me as seemethH2896goodH3477and meet unto you.

¹⁶ H559Then said[H8799] H8269the princesH5971and all the peopleH3548unto the priestsH5030and to the prophetsH376; This manH4941is not worthyH4194to dieH1696: for he hath spoken[H8765] H8034to us in the nameH3068of the LORDH430our God.

¹⁷ H6965Then rose up[H8799] H582certainH2205of the eldersH776of the landH559, and spake[H8799] H6951to all the assemblyH5971of the peopleH559, saying[H8800] ,

¹⁹ H2396Did HezekiahH4428kingH3063of JudahH3063and all JudahH4191put him at all[H8687] H4191to death[H8689] H3373? did he not fearH3068the LORDH2470, and besought[H8762] H3068the LORDH6440 H3068, and the LORDH5162repented[H8735] H7451him of the evilH1696which he had pronounced[H8765] H587against them? ThusH6213might we procure[H8802] H1419greatH7451evilH5315against our souls.

²⁰ H376And there was also a manH5012that prophesied[H8693] H8034in the nameH3068of the LORDH223, UrijahH1121the sonH8098of ShemaiahH7157of KirjathjearimH5012, who prophesied[H8735] H5892against this cityH776and against this landH1697according to all the wordsH3414of Jeremiah:

²¹ H3079And when JehoiakimH4428the kingH1368, with all his mighty menH8269, and all the princesH8085, heard[H8799] H1697his wordsH4428, the kingH1245sought[H8762] H4191to put him to death[H8687] H223: but when UrijahH8085heard[H8799] H3372it, he was afraid[H8799] H1272, and fled[H8799] H935, and went[H8799] H4714into Egypt;

²⁴ H3027Nevertheless the handH296of AhikamH1121the sonH8227of ShaphanH3414was with JeremiahH5414, that they should not give[H8800] H3027him into the handH5971of the peopleH4191to put him to death[H8687] .
