Then Jacobwenton his journey,and cameto the landof the sonsof the east.

therefore,behold,I am going to giveyou to the sonsof the eastfor a possession,and they will settheir encampmentsamong you and maketheir dwellingsamong you; they will eatyour fruitand drinkyour milk.
I, in turn,will dothisto you: I will appointoveryou a suddenterror,consumptionand feverthat will wasteawaythe eyesand cause the soulto pineaway;also, you will sowyour seeduselessly,for your enemieswill eatit up.
"You will sowbut you will not reap.You will treadthe olivebut will not anointyourself with oil;And the grapes,but you will not drinkwine.
"Moreover, it shall eatthe offspringof your herdand the produceof your grounduntilyou are destroyed,whoalso leavesyou nograin,newwine,or oil,northe increaseof your herdor the youngof your flockuntilthey have caused you to perish.
"Also when the Sidonians,the Amalekitesand the Maonitesoppressedyou, you criedout to Me, and I deliveredyou from their hands.
And he gatheredto himself the sonsof Ammonand Amalek;and he wentand defeatedIsrael,and they possessedthe cityof the palmtrees.
The powerof MidianprevailedagainstIsrael.Becauseof Midianthe sonsof Israelmadefor themselves the denswhichwere in the mountainsand the cavesand the strongholds.
Then allthe Midianitesand the Amalekitesand the sonsof the eastassembledthemselves; and they crossedoverand campedin the valleyof Jezreel.
So they would campagainstthem and destroythe produceof the earthas faras Gaza,and leavenosustenancein Israelas well as no sheep,ox,or donkey.
Now the Midianitesand the Amalekitesand allthe sonsof the eastwere lyingin the valleyas numerousas locusts;and their camelswere withoutnumber,as numerousas the sandon the seashore.
Now Zebahand Zalmunnawere in Karkor,and their armieswith them, about 15,000men, allwho were leftof the entirearmyof the sonsof the east;for the fallenwere 120,000swordsmen.
