But you will not goout in haste,Norwill you goas fugitives;For the LORDwill gobeforeyou, And the Godof Israel[will be] your rearguard.
"It shall be when you hearthe soundof marchingin the topsof the balsamtrees,thenyou shall goout to battle,for Godwill have goneout beforeyou to strikethe armyof the Philistines."
Now you shall eatit in thismanner:[with] your loinsgirded,your sandalson your feet,and your staffin your hand;and you shall eatit in haste--it is the LORD'SPassover.
The Egyptiansurgedthe people,to sendthem out of the landin haste,for they said,"We will allbe dead."
They bakedthe doughwhichthey had broughtout of Egyptinto cakesof unleavenedbread.For it had not becomeleavened,sincethey were drivenout of Egyptand couldnot delay,norhad they preparedanyprovisionsfor themselves.
The LORDhardenedthe heartof Pharaoh,kingof Egypt,and he chasedafterthe sonsof Israelas the sonsof Israelwere goingout boldly.
The wayof the righteousis smooth;O UprightOne,makethe pathof the righteouslevel.
Thereforethussaysthe LordGOD,"Behold,I am layingin Ziona stone,a testedstone,A costlycornerstone[for] the foundation,firmlyplaced.He who believes[in it] will not be disturbed.
"I will leadthe blindby a waythey do not know,In pathsthey do not knowI will guidethem. I will makedarknessinto lightbeforethem And ruggedplacesinto plains.Theseare the thingsI will do,And I will not leavethem undone."
"I will gobeforeyou and makethe roughplacessmooth;I will shatterthe doorsof bronzeand cutthroughtheir ironbars.
"They will not hungeror thirst,Norwill the scorchingheator sunstrikethem down;For He who hascompassionon them will leadthem And will guidethem to springsof water.
"I will makeallMy mountainsa road,And My highwayswill be raisedup.
"The exilewill soonbe setfree,and will not diein the dungeon,norwill his breadbe lacking.
"I have seenhis ways,but I will healhim; I will leadhim and restorecomfortto him and to his mourners,
"Thenyour lightwill breakout like the dawn,And your recoverywill speedilyspringforth;And your righteousnesswill gobeforeyou; The gloryof the LORDwill be your rearguard.
"The breakergoesup beforethem; They breakout, passthroughthe gateand goout by it. So their kinggoeson beforethem, And the LORDat their head."
Then the standardof the campof the sonsof Dan,according to their armies,[which formed] the rearguardfor allthe camps,setout, with Ahiezerthe sonof Ammishaddaioverits army,
"You shall not eatleavenedbreadwith it; sevendaysyou shall eatwith it unleavenedbread,the breadof affliction(for you cameout of the landof Egyptin haste),sothat you may rememberallthe daysof your lifethe daywhen you cameout of the landof Egypt.
for the LORDyour Godis the one who goeswith you, to fightfor you againstyour enemies,to saveyou.'
and whenallthe peoplehad finishedcrossing,the arkof the LORDand the priestscrossedbeforethe people.
The armedmen wentbeforethe priestswho blewthe trumpets,and the rearguardcameafterthe ark,while they continuedto blowthe trumpets.
Deborahsaidto Barak,"Arise!For thisis the dayin whichthe LORDhas givenSiserainto your hands;behold,the LORDhas goneout beforeyou." So Barakwentdownfrom MountTaborwith tenthousandmenfollowinghim.
