They will walkafterthe LORD,He will roarlike a lion;IndeedHe will roarAnd [His] sonswill cometremblingfrom the west.
"At thisalsomy hearttrembles,And leapsfrom its place.
My fleshtremblesfor fearof You, And I am afraidof Your judgments.Ayin.
Worshipthe LORDwith reverenceAnd rejoicewith trembling.
Then it will happenon that daythat the LordWill againrecoverthe secondtimewith His handThe remnantof His people,whowill remain,From Assyria,Egypt,Pathros,Cush,Elam,Shinar,Hamath,And from the islandsof the sea.
Come,houseof Jacob,and let us walkin the lightof the LORD.
For thussaysthe LORDto me, "As the lionor the youngliongrowlsoverhis prey,Againstwhicha bandof shepherdsis calledout, [And] he will not be terrifiedat their voicenordisturbedat their noise,Sowill the LORDof hostscomedownto wagewaron MountZionand on its hill."
The LORDwill goforthlike a warrior,He will arouse[His] zeallike a manof war.He will uttera shout,yes,He will raisea warcry.He will prevailagainstHis enemies.
"They will not hungeror thirst,Norwill the scorchingheator sunstrikethem down;For He who hascompassionon them will leadthem And will guidethem to springsof water.
As firekindlesthe brushwood,[as] firecauses waterto boil--To makeYour nameknownto Your adversaries,[That] the nationsmay trembleat Your presence!
"For My handmadeallthesethings,Thus allthesethingscameinto being,"declaresthe LORD."But to thisoneI will look,To him whois humbleand contriteof spirit,and whotremblesat My word.
Hearthe wordof the LORD,you whotrembleat His word:"Your brotherswho hateyou, who excludeyou for My name'ssake,Have said,'Let the LORDbe glorified,that we may seeyour joy.'But they will be putto shame.
"Goand proclaimin the earsof Jerusalem,saying,'Thussaysthe LORD,"I rememberconcerning you the devotionof your youth,The loveof your betrothals,Your followingafterMe in the wilderness,Through a landnot sown.
"Therefore you shall prophesyagainstthem allthesewords,and you shall sayto them, 'The LORDwill roarfrom on highAnd utterHis voicefrom His holyhabitation;He will roarmightilyagainstHis fold.He will shoutlike those who tread[the grapes], Againstallthe inhabitantsof the earth.
"With weepingthey will come,And by supplicationI will leadthem; I will make them walkby streamsof waters,On a straightpathin which they will not stumble;For I ama fatherto Israel,And Ephraimis My firstborn."
It will be to Me a nameof joy,praiseand glorybefore allthe nationsof the earthwhichwill hearof allthe goodthat I dofor them, and they will fearand tremblebecauseof allthe goodand allthe peacethat I makefor it.'
Do you not fearMe?' declaresthe LORD.'Do you not tremblein My presence?For I have placedthe sandas a boundaryfor the sea,An eternaldecree,so it cannotcrossoverit. Though the wavestoss,yet they cannotprevail;Though they roar,yet they cannotcrossoverit.
"In thosedaysand at that time,"declaresthe LORD,"the sonsof Israelwill come,[both] they and the sonsof Judahas well;they will goalong weepingas they go,and it will be the LORDtheir Godthey will seek.
[if] you do not oppressthe alien,the orphan,or the widow,and do not shedinnocentbloodin thisplace,norwalkafterothergodsto your own ruin,
"Will you steal,murder,and commitadulteryand swearfalsely,and offersacrificesto Baaland walkafterothergodsthat you have not known,
"Then allthe princesof the seawill godownfrom their thrones,removetheir robesand stripofftheir embroideredgarments.They will clothethemselves with trembling;they will siton the ground,trembleevery momentand be appalledat you.
Afterwardthe sonsof Israelwill returnand seekthe LORDtheir Godand Davidtheir king;and they will cometremblingto the LORDand to His goodnessin the lastdays.
The LORDroarsfrom ZionAnd uttersHis voicefrom Jerusalem,And the heavensand the earthtremble.But the LORDis a refugefor His peopleAnd a strongholdto the sonsof Israel.
He said,"The LORDroarsfrom ZionAnd from JerusalemHe uttersHis voice;And the shepherds'pasturegroundsmourn,And the summitof Carmeldriesup."
Does a lionroarin the forestwhen he hasnoprey?Does a youngliongrowlfrom his denunlesshe has captured[something]?
A lionhas roared!Whowill not fear?The LordGODhas spoken!Whocan but prophesy?
Thoughallthe peopleswalkEachin the nameof his god,As for us, we will walkIn the nameof the LORDour Godforeverand ever.
I heardand my inwardpartstrembled,At the soundmy lipsquivered.Decayentersmy bones,And in my placeI tremble.BecauseI must waitquietlyfor the dayof distress,For the peopleto arise[who] will invadeus.
"I will bringthem backfrom the landof EgyptAnd gatherthem from Assyria;And I will bringthem into the landof Gileadand LebanonUntil no[room] can be foundfor them.
"And I will strengthenthem in the LORD,And in His namethey will walk,"declaresthe LORD.
"Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,'Behold,I am going to saveMy peoplefrom the landof the eastand from the landof the west;
ThenJesusagainspoketo them, saying,"I amthe Lightof the world;he who followsMe will not walkin the darkness,but will havethe Lightof life."
But as he was discussingrighteousness,self-controland the judgmentto come,Felixbecamefrightenedand said,"Go awayfor the present,and when I findtimeI will summonyou."
Thereforethere is nownocondemnationfor thosewho are in ChristJesus.
and especiallythosewho indulgethe fleshin [its] corruptdesiresand despiseauthority.Daring,self-willed,they do not tremblewhen they revileangelic majesties,
and he criedout with a loudvoice,as when a lionroars;and whenhe had criedout, the sevenpeals of thunderutteredtheir voices.
