So he saidto the king,"Let not my lordconsiderme guilty,norrememberwhatyour servantdidwrongon the daywhenmy lordthe kingcameout from Jerusalem,so that the kingwould take[it] to heart.
"Did I [just] beginto inquireof Godfor him today?Farbe it from me! Do not let the kingimputeanythingto his servant[or] to anyof the householdof my father,for your servantknowsnothingat allof thiswholeaffair."
namely,that Godwas in Christreconcilingthe worldto Himself,not countingtheir trespassesagainst them, and He has committedto us the wordof reconciliation.
saying,"I have sinnedby betrayinginnocentblood."But they said,"Whatis that to us? See[to that] yourself!"
"They will not teachagain,eachmanhis neighborand eachmanhis brother,saying,'Knowthe LORD,'for they will allknowMe, from the leastof them to the greatestof them," declaresthe LORD,"for I will forgivetheir iniquity,and their sinI will remembernomore."
"I, even I, am the one who wipesout your transgressionsfor My own sake,And I will not rememberyour sins.
Ifthe ruler'stemperrisesagainstyou, do not abandonyour position,becausecomposureallaysgreatoffenses.
Do not rememberthe iniquitiesof [our] forefathersagainst us; Let Your compassioncomequicklyto meetus, For we are broughtverylow.
How blessedis the manto whom the LORDdoes not imputeiniquity,And in whose spiritthereis nodeceit!
"Nowtherefore, do not let my lordthe kingtakethe reportto heart,namely,'allthe king'ssonsare dead,'for onlyAmnonis dead."
Then Absalomher brothersaidto her, "Has Amnonyour brotherbeenwith you? But nowkeepsilent,my sister,he is your brother;do not takethismatterto heart."So Tamarremainedand was desolatein her brotherAbsalom'shouse.
Then Saulsaid,"I have sinned.Return,my sonDavid,for I will not harmyou againbecausemy lifewas preciousin your sightthisday.Behold,I have playedthe fooland have committeda seriouserror."
"Pleasedo not let my lordpayattentionto thisworthlessman,Nabal,for as his nameis, sois he. Nabalis his nameand follyis with him; but I your maidservantdid not seethe youngmenof my lordwhomyou sent.
Then Aaronsaidto Moses,"Oh,my lord,I begyou, do not account[this] sinto us, in whichwe have actedfoolishlyand in whichwe have sinned.
Then they kept crossingthe fordto bringoverthe king'shousehold,and to dowhatwas goodin his sight.And Shimeithe sonof Gerafelldownbeforethe kingas he was about to crossthe Jordan.
