Abrahamtookthe woodof the burntofferingand laidit on Isaachis son,and he tookin his handthe fireand the knife.So the twoof them walkedon together.
He healsthe brokenheartedAnd bindsup their wounds.
For my iniquitiesare goneovermy head;As a heavyburdenthey weightoomuchfor me.
"It shall be on Aaron'sforehead,and Aaronshall takeaway the iniquityof the holythingswhichthe sonsof Israelconsecrate,with regard to alltheir holygifts;and it shall alwaysbe on his forehead,that they may be acceptedbeforethe LORD.
Stripesthat woundscouraway evil,And strokes[reach] the innermostparts.
As a resultof the anguishof His soul,He will see[it and] be satisfied;By His knowledgethe RighteousOne,My Servant,will justifythe many,As He will beartheir iniquities.
"The goatshall bearon itself alltheir iniquitiesto a solitaryland;and he shall releasethe goatin the wilderness.
They shall therefore keepMy charge,so that they will not bearsinbecauseof it and diethereby becausethey profaneit; I am the LORDwho sanctifiesthem.
"But for you who fearMy name,the sunof righteousnesswill risewith healingin its wings;and you will goforthand skipaboutlike calvesfrom the stall.
"The sonsof Israelshall not comenearthe tentof meetingagain,or they will bearsinand die.
onebull,oneram,onemalelambone yearold,for a burntoffering;
Thenhe releasedBarabbasfor them; but after having Jesusscourged,he handedHim over to be crucified.
"For I sayto you that unlessyour righteousnesssurpasses[that] of the scribesand Pharisees,you will not enterthe kingdomof heaven.
[This was] to fulfillwhatwas spokenthroughIsaiahthe prophet:"HE HIMSELFTOOKOUR INFIRMITIESAND CARRIED AWAYOUR DISEASES."
Wishingto satisfythe crowd,PilatereleasedBarabbasfor them, and after having Jesusscourged,he handedHim over to be crucified.
"THE SPIRITOF THE LORDIS UPON ME, BECAUSEHE ANOINTEDME TO PREACH THE GOSPELTO THE POOR.HE HAS SENTME TO PROCLAIMRELEASETO THE CAPTIVES,AND RECOVERY OF SIGHTTO THE BLIND,TO SETFREETHOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
The next dayhe sawJesuscomingto him and said,"Behold,the Lambof Godwho takes awaythe sinof the world!
PilatethentookJesusand scourgedHim.
but in everynationthe man who fearsHim and doeswhat is rightis welcometo Him.
"We are witnessesof all the thingsHe didbothin the landof the Jewsand in Jerusalem.They alsoput Him to deathby hangingHim on a cross.
"Whenthey had carriedout allthat was writtenconcerningHim, they took Him downfrom the crossand laidHim in a tomb.
"The Godof our fathersraisedup Jesus,whomyou had put to deathby hangingHim on a cross.
Evensoconsideryourselvesto be deadto sin,but aliveto Godin ChristJesus.
and do not go on presentingthe membersof your body to sin[as] instrumentsof unrighteousness;but presentyourselvesto Godas those alivefrom the dead,and your members[as] instrumentsof righteousnessto God.
Do you not knowthat whenyou presentyourselvesto someone[as] slavesfor obedience,you are slavesof the one whomyou obey,eitherof sinresultingin death,orof obedienceresultingin righteousness?
May it neverbe! Howshall we whodiedto sinstilllivein it?
But nowhaving been freedfrom sinand enslavedto God,you deriveyour benefit,resultingin sanctification,and the outcome,eternallife.
for he who has diedis freedfrom sin.
But nowwe have been releasedfrom the Law,having diedto that by whichwe were bound,sothat we servein newnessof the Spiritand not in oldnessof the letter.
For I deliveredto you as of first importancewhatI alsoreceived,that Christdiedfor our sinsaccordingto the Scriptures,
"Therefore,COMEOUT FROM THEIR MIDSTAND BE SEPARATE,"saysthe Lord."AND DO NOT TOUCHWHAT IS UNCLEAN;And I will welcomeyou.
Christredeemedus from the curseof the Law,having becomea cursefor us-- for it is written,"CURSEDIS EVERYONEWHO HANGSON A TREE"--
(for the fruitof the Light[consists] in allgoodnessand righteousnessand truth),
having been filledwith the fruitof righteousnesswhich [comes] throughJesusChrist,to the gloryand praiseof God.
having canceledout the certificate of debtconsisting of decreesagainstus, whichwas hostileto us; and He has takenit out of the way,having nailedit to the cross.
Ifyou have diedwith Christto the elementary principlesof the world,why,as ifyou were livingin the world,do you submit yourself to decrees,such as,
For you have diedand your lifeis hiddenwith Christin God.
By thiswillwe have beensanctifiedthroughthe offeringof the bodyof JesusChristonce for all.
Therefore,when He comesinto the world,He says,"SACRIFICEAND OFFERINGYOU HAVE NOT DESIRED,BUT A BODYYOU HAVE PREPAREDFOR ME;
and makestraightpathsfor your feet,sothat [the limb] which is lamemay not be put out of joint,but ratherbe healed.
For it was fittingfor us to have sucha high priest,holy,innocent,undefiled,separatedfrom sinnersand exaltedabove the heavens;
soChristalso,having been offeredonceto bearthe sinsof many,will appeara second timefor salvationwithout[reference to] sin,to thosewho eagerly awaitHim.
Therefore,confessyour sinsto oneanother,and prayfor one anothersothat you may be healed.The effectiveprayerof a righteous mancanaccomplishmuch.
Ifyou knowthat He is righteous,you knowthat everyonealsowho practicesrighteousnessis bornof Him.
Little children,make sure no onedeceivesyou; the one who practicesrighteousnessis righteous,justas He is righteous;
in the middleof its street.On either sideof the riverwas the treeof life,bearingtwelve[kinds of] fruit,yieldingits fruiteverymonth;and the leavesof the treewere for the healingof the nations.
