Lord, who can live in your Holy Tent? {\cf2\super [79]} \par Who can live on your holy mountain? {\cf2\super [80]} \par


Protect me like the pupil {\cf2\super [90]} of your eye.\par Hide me in the shadow of your wings.\par


Goodness and mercy will be with me the rest of my life.\par And I will sit in the Lord’s temple for a long, long time. {\cf2\super [143]} \par


I ask only one thing from the Lord:\par “Let me sit in his temple {\cf2\super [161]} all my life,\par so I can see the Lord’s beauty\par and visit his palace. {\cf2\super [162]} ”\par


God, be merciful to me.\par Be kind because my soul trusts you.\par I have come to you for protection,\par while the trouble passes.\par


Let him live with God forever!\par Protect him with your true love.\par

There is much strength in the name of the Lord. It is like a strong tower. Good people can run to him and be safe.


“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem! You kill the prophets. {\cf2\super [361]} You kill with rocks those men that God sent to you. Many, many times I wanted to help your people. I wanted to gather your people together like a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. But you did not let me.


Those two things cannot change. God cannot lie when he says something and he cannot lie when he makes a vow. So those things give great comfort to us who came to God for safety. Those two things give us comfort and strength to continue in the hope that God gives us.


The person that wins the victory will be a pillar {\cf2\super [28]} in the temple {\cf2\super [29]} of my God. I will do that for the person that wins the victory. That person will never again have to leave God’s temple. I will write the name of my God on that person. And I will write the name of the city of my God on that person. That city is the new Jerusalem. {\cf2\super [30]} That city is coming down out of heaven from my God. I will also write my new name on that person.


The Lord will reward you for all the good things you have done. You will be paid in full by the Lord, the God of Israel. You have come to him for safety, [10] {and he will protect you}.”
