Psalm 90 - Easy To Read Version

¹ Master, you have been our home\par forever and ever.\par

² God, you were God\par before the mountains were born\par and the earth and the world were made.\par God, you have always been,\par and you will always be, God!\par

³ You bring people into this world.\par And you change them into dust again.\par

⁴ To you, a thousand years is like yesterday,\par like last night.\par

⁵ You sweep us away.\par Our life is like a dream,\par and in the morning,\par we are gone.\par We are like grass.\par

⁶ In the morning the grass grows,\par and in the evening it is dry and dying.\par

⁷ \{God,\} your anger could destroys us.\par Your anger scares us!\par

⁸ You know about all our sins.\par You see every one of our secret sins.\par

⁹ Your anger can end our life.\par Our lives fade away like a whisper.\par

¹⁰ We live maybe 70 years.\par And if we are strong, maybe 80 years.\par Our lives are filled with hard work and pain.\par Then suddenly, our lives are finished!\par And we fly away.\par

¹¹ No person really knows the full power\par of your anger, God.\par But God, our fear and respect for you\par is as great as your anger.\par

¹² Teach us how short our lives really are,\par so we can become really wise.\par

¹³ Lord, always come back to us.\par Be kind to your servants.\par

¹⁴ Fill us with your love every morning.\par Let us be happy and enjoy our lives.\par

¹⁵ You gave us much sadness and troubles\par in our lives.\par Now make us happy.\par

¹⁶ Let your servants see the wonderful things\par you can do for them.\par And let their children see your glory.\par
