Psalm 63 - Easy To Read Version

¹ God, you are my God.\par And I want you so much.\par My soul and my body thirst for you,\par like a dry, weary land with no water.\par

² Yes, I have seen you in your temple.\par I have seen your strength and glory.\par

³ Your love is better than life.\par My lips praise you.\par

⁴ Yes, I will praise you in my life.\par In your name, I lift my arms in prayer.\par

⁵ I will be satisfied\par as if I had eaten the best foods.\par And with joyful lips\par my mouth will praise you. {\cf2\super [370]} \par

⁶ I will remember you\par while lying on my bed.\par I will remember you\par in the middle of the night.\par

⁷ You really have helped me!\par I am happy that you protected me!\par

⁸ My soul clings to you.\par And you hold my hand.\par

⁹ Some people are trying to kill me.\par But they will be destroyed.\par They will go down to their graves.\par

¹⁰ They will be killed with swords.\par Wild dogs will eat their dead bodies.\par

¹¹ But the king will be happy with his God.\par And the people who promised to obey him\par will praise God.\par Why? Because he defeated all those liars.\par
