Psalm 62 - Easy To Read Version

¹ \{No matter what happens,\}\par my soul waits patiently\par for God \{to save me\}.\par My salvation comes only from him. {\cf2\super [364]} \par

² \{I may have many enemies,\}\par but God is my fortress. {\cf2\super [365]} \par God saves me.\par God is my place of safety\par high on the mountain.\par Not even great armies can defeat me.\par

³ How long will you attack me?\par I am like a leaning wall,\par a fence ready to fall.\par

⁴ In spite of my important position,\par those people are planning to destroy me.\par It makes them happy\par to tell lies about me.\par In public, they say good things\par about me,\par but in private, they curse me.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [366]})\i0 \par

⁵ My soul, wait patiently for God \{to save me\}!\par God is my only hope.\par

⁶ God is my fortress. {\cf2\super [367]} \par God saves me.\par God is my place of safety\par high on the mountain.\par

⁷ My glory and victory comes from God.\par He is my strong fortress.\par God is my place of safety.\par

⁸ People, trust God all the time!\par Tell God about all your problems. {\cf2\super [368]} \par God is our place of safety.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [369]})\i0 \par

⁹ People can’t really help.\par You can’t trust them to really help.\par Compared to God,\par they are like nothing,\par like a gentle puff of air!\par

¹⁰ Don’t trust the power to take things by force.\par Don’t think you will gain anything by stealing.\par And if you become rich,\par don’t trust your riches to help you.\par

¹¹ God says there is one thing\par you can really depend on\par (and I believe it):\par “Strength comes from God!”\par

¹² My Master, your love is real.\par You reward or punish a person\par for the things he does.\par
