May the people in all the faraway countries\par remember the Lord and come back to him!\par May the people in all the foreign countries\par worship the Lord.\par
At that time, there will be a special person from Jesse’s {\cf2\super [135]} family. This person will be like a flag. This “flag” will show all the nations that they should come together around him. The nations will ask him the things they should do. And the place where he is will be filled with glory.
“Look at my Servant!\par I support him.\par He is the one I chose.\par And I am very pleased with him.\par I put my Spirit in him.\par He will judge the nations fairly.\par
“I, the Lord, called you to do right.\par I will hold your hand.\par And I will protect you.\par You will be the sign that shows\par \{I have\} an Agreement with the people.\par You will be a light to shine for all people.\par

Those people will be afraid of the Lord! Why? Because the Lord will destroy their gods. Then all the people in all the faraway lands will worship the Lord.
Then I will change people from other nations so they can speak the language clearly and call out the name of the Lord. They will all worship me together, shoulder to shoulder, as one people.
At that time, people from many nations\par will come to me.\par They will become my people.\par And I will live in your city.”\par And then you will know\par that the Lord All-Powerful sent me.\par
“People all around the world respect my name. All around the world people bring good gifts to me. They burn good incense {\cf2\super [7]} as a gift to me. Why? Because my name is important to all those people.” The Lord All-Powerful said these things.
Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea. He was born during the time when Herod {\cf2\super [17]} was king. After Jesus was born, some wise men from the east came to Jerusalem.
Many people will come from the east and from the west. Those people will sit and eat with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob {\cf2\super [92]} in the kingdom of heaven.
The women walked into the tomb. {\cf2\super [237]} They saw a young man there wearing a white robe. The man was sitting on the right side of the tomb. The women were afraid.
He (Jesus) is a light to show your way to the non-Jewish people.\par He will bring honor to your people, Israel (the Jews).”\par
After a few days there was a meeting of the believers. (There were about 120 of them.) Peter stood up and said,
The believers decided that they would all try to help their brothers and sisters who lived in Judea. Each believer planned to send them as much as he could.
When Paul and Barnabas arrived, they gathered the church (group of believers) together. Paul and Barnabas told them about all the things God had done with them. They said, “God opened a door so that the people of other nations (non-Jews) could also believe!”
The church helped the men leave on the trip. These men went through the countries of Phoenicia and Samaria. In these countries they told all about how the non-Jewish people had turned to the true God. This made all the brothers very happy.
The believers in Rome heard that we were there. They came out to meet us at the Market of Appius {\cf2\super [522]} and at the Three Inns. {\cf2\super [523]} When Paul saw these believers, he felt better. Paul thanked God.
