"So My handwill be againstthe prophetswho seefalse~visionsand utterlyingdivinations.They will havenoplacein the councilof My people,norwill they be writtendownin the registerof the houseof Israel,norwill they enterthe landof Israel,that you may knowthat I am the LordGOD.
He saidto him, "I alsoam a prophetlikeyou, and an angelspoketo me by the wordof the LORD,saying,'Bringhim backwith you to your house,that he may eatbreadand drinkwater.'"[But] he liedto him.
Now theseare those who cameup from Tel-melah,Tel-harsha,Cherub,Addan[and] Immer,but they were not ableto giveevidenceof their fathers'householdsand their descendants,whetherthey were of Israel:
the sonsof Delaiah,the sonsof Tobiah,the sonsof Nekoda,642
Thesesearched[among] their ancestralregistration,but it could not be located;therefore they were considered unclean[and excluded] from the priesthood.
He who practicesdeceitshall not dwellwithinmy house;He who speaksfalsehoodshall not maintainhis positionbeforeme.
May they be blottedout of the bookof lifeAnd may they not be recordedwith the righteous.
O God,it is You who knowsmy folly,And my wrongsare not hiddenfrom You.
The LORDwill countwhen He registersthe peoples,"Thisonewas bornthere."Selah.
"ThereforeI sworein My anger,Trulythey shall not enterinto My rest."
It will comeabout that he who is leftin Zionand remainsin Jerusalemwill be calledholy--everyonewho is recordedfor lifein Jerusalem.
"Thereforethussaysthe LORDconcerningthe prophetswho are prophesyingin My name,although it was not I who sentthem-- yet they keep saying,'There will be noswordor faminein thisland--by swordand faminethoseprophetsshall meettheir end!
O LORD,the hopeof Israel,Allwho forsakeYou will be putto shame.Those who turnawayon earthwill be writtendown,Becausethey have forsakenthe fountainof livingwater,even the LORD.
"The angerof the LORDwill not turnbackUntilHe has performedand carriedout the purposesof His heart;In the lastdaysyou will clearlyunderstandit.
"It shall comeabout in that day,"declaresthe LORD,"that the heartof the kingand the heartof the princeswill fail;and the priestswill be appalledand the prophetswill be astounded."
"You will fallby the sword.I will judgeyou to the borderof Israel;so you shall knowthat I am the LORD.
"The inhabitedcitieswill be laidwasteand the landwill be a desolation.So you will knowthat I am the LORD."'"
"So I will teardownthe wallwhichyou plasteredoverwith whitewashand bringit downto the ground,so that its foundationis laidbare;and when it falls,you will be consumedin its midst.And you will knowthat I am the LORD.
therefore,you women will nolongerseefalse~visionsor practicedivination,and I will deliverMy peopleout of your hand.Thus you will knowthat I am the LORD."
and I will purgefrom you the rebelsand those who transgressagainst Me; I will bringthem out of the landwherethey sojourn,but they will not enterthe landof Israel.Thus you will knowthat I am the LORD.
"Now at that timeMichael,the greatprincewho stands[guard] overthe sonsof your people,will arise.And there will be a timeof distresssuchas neveroccurredsincethere was a nationuntilthat time;and at that timeyour people,everyonewho is foundwrittenin the book,will be rescued.
So you will stumbleby day,And the prophetalsowill stumblewith you by night;And I will destroyyour mother.
They will not remainin the LORD'Sland,But Ephraimwill returnto Egypt,And in Assyriathey will eatunclean[food].
Thussaysthe LORDconcerningthe prophetswho leadmy peopleastray;When they have [something] to bitewith their teeth,They cry,"Peace,"But againsthim whoputsnothingin their mouthsThey declareholywar.
Therefore[it will be] nightfor you-- withoutvision,And darknessfor you-- withoutdivination.The sunwill godown on the prophets,And the daywill becomedarkoverthem.
"Neverthelessdo not rejoicein this,that the spiritsare subjectto you, but rejoicethat your namesare recordedin heaven."
Indeed,true companion,I askyou alsoto helpthesewomenwhohave shared my strugglein [the cause of] the gospel,togetherwith Clementalsoand the restof my fellow workers,whosenamesare in the bookof life.
to the general assemblyand churchof the firstbornwho are enrolledin heaven,and to God,the Judgeof all,and to the spiritsof [the] righteousmade perfect,
Allwho dwellon the earthwill worshiphim, [everyone] whosenamehas not been writtenfrom the foundationof the worldin the bookof lifeof the Lambwho has been slain.
And the beastwas seized,and with him the false prophetwho performedthe signsin his presence,by whichhe deceivedthosewho had receivedthe markof the beastand thosewho worshipedhis image;thesetwowere thrownaliveinto the lakeof firewhich burnswith brimstone.
And I sawthe dead,the greatand the small,standingbeforethe throne,and bookswere opened;and anotherbookwas opened,whichis [the book] of life;and the deadwere judgedfrom the things which were writtenin the books,accordingto their deeds.
And ifanyone'sname was not foundwrittenin the bookof life,he was throwninto the lakeof fire.
