Rejoice,youngman,during your childhood,and let your heartbe pleasantduring the daysof youngmanhood.And followthe impulsesof your heartand the desiresof your eyes.Yet knowthat Godwill bringyou to judgmentfor allthesethings.
For Godwill bringeveryactto judgment,everythingwhich is hidden,whetherit is goodor evil.
Rememberalso your Creatorin the daysof your youth,beforethe evildayscomeand the yearsdrawnearwhenyou will say,"I havenodelightin them";
[It is] goodfor a manthat he should bearThe yokein his youth.
I saidto myself,"Godwill judgeboth the righteousmanand the wickedman,"for a timefor everymatterand for everydeedis there.
For we mustallappearbeforethe judgment seatof Christ,sothat each onemay be recompensedfor his deeds in the body,accordingto whathe has done,whethergoodorbad.
And inasmuchas it is appointedfor mento dieonceand afterthis[comes] judgment,
"Ifmy stephas turnedfrom the way,Or my heartfollowedmy eyes,Or if any spothas stuckto my hands,
But you, whydo you judgeyour brother?Oryou again,whydo you regardyour brotherwith contempt?For we will allstand beforethe judgment seatof God.
but I sayto you that everyonewho looksat a womanwith lustfor her has alreadycommitted adulterywith her in his heart.
Allthat my eyesdesiredI did not refusethem. I did not withholdmy heartfrom anypleasure,for my heartwas pleasedbecauseof allmy laborand thiswas my rewardfor allmy labor.
that the sonsof Godsawthat the daughtersof menwere beautiful;and they tookwivesfor themselves, whomeverthey chose.
When the womansawthat the treewas goodfor food,and that it was a delightto the eyes,and that the treewas desirableto make [one] wise,she tookfrom its fruitand ate;and she gavealsoto her husbandwith her, and he ate.
But the personwhodoes[anything] defiantly,whetherhe is nativeor an alien,that oneis blasphemingthe LORD;and that personshall be cutofffrom amonghis people.
But by His wordthe presentheavensand earthare being reservedfor fire,keptfor the dayof judgmentand destructionof ungodlymen.
"They keep sayingto those who despiseMe, 'The LORDhas said,"You will havepeace"'; And as for everyonewho walksin the stubbornnessof his own heart,They say,Calamitywill not comeupon you.'
"Yet they did not obeyor inclinetheir ear,but walkedin [their own] counsels[and] in the stubbornnessof their evilheart,and wentbackwardand not forward.
"So I gavethem overto the stubbornnessof their heart,To walkin their own devices.
"It shall be when he hearsthe wordsof thiscurse,that he will boast,saying,'I havepeacethoughI walkin the stubbornnessof my heartin orderto destroythe watered[land] with the dry.'
"It shall be a tasselfor you to lookat and rememberallthe commandmentsof the LORD,so as to dothem and not followafteryour own heartand your own eyes,afterwhichyou playedthe harlot,
But as he was discussingrighteousness,self-controland the judgmentto come,Felixbecamefrightenedand said,"Go awayfor the present,and when I findtimeI will summonyou."
"In the generationsgoneby He permittedallthe nationsto gotheir own ways;
When he cameto the king,the kingsaidto him, "Micaiah,shall we goto Ramoth-gileadto battle,orshall we refrain?"And he answeredhim, "Goup and succeed,and the LORDwill give[it] into the handof the king."
It cameabout at noon,that Elijahmockedthem and said,"Callout with a loudvoice,for he is a god;eitherhe is occupiedor goneaside,or is on a journey,or perhapshe is asleepand needs to be awakened."
"It will comeabout when I leaveyou that the Spiritof the LORDwill carryyou whereI do not know;so when I comeand tellAhaband he cannotfindyou, he will killme, although [I] your servanthave fearedthe LORDfrom my youth.
The angelof the LORDsaidto him, "Whyhave you struckyour donkeythesethreetimes?Behold,I have comeout as an adversary,becauseyour waywas contraryto me.
Thereforedo not go on passing judgmentbeforethe time,[but wait] untilthe Lordcomeswhowill bothbring to lightthe things hiddenin the darknessand disclosethe motivesof [men's] hearts;and theneach man'spraisewill cometo him from God.
when I sawamong the spoila beautifulmantlefrom Shinarand two hundredshekelsof silverand a barof goldfiftyshekelsin weight,then I covetedthem and tookthem; and behold,they are concealedin the earthinsidemy tentwith the silverunderneathit."
And I will sayto my soul,"Soul,you havemanygoodslaidup for manyyears[to come]; take your ease,eat,drink[and] be merry."'
Whatthe eyesseeis betterthanwhat the souldesires.Thistoois futilityand a strivingafter wind.
In the dayof prosperitybe happy,But in the dayof adversityconsider--Godhas madethe oneas wellas the otherSothat manwill not discoveranything[that will be] afterhim.
I knowthat thereis nothingbetterfor them thanto rejoiceand to dogoodin one's lifetime;
