My soul is weary with sorrow: strengthen me according to your word.


LORD, I know that your judgments are righteous, that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.


Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.


All my bones shall say, *LORD, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?*


Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness. I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; for comforters, but I found none.
