Romans 3:21
37 Tagairtí Cros

Abram believed God. And God decided Abram’s faith was the same as living right and doing a good work.

I will do good things! Soon, I will save \{my people\}. I will bring salvation to Zion and to my wonderful Israel.”

Why? Because they will be like\par old clothes.\par Moths will eat them.\par They will be like wool.\par Worms will eat them.\par But my goodness will continue forever.\par My salvation will continue\par forever and ever.”\par

“People will make weapons to fight against you, but those weapons will not defeat you. Some people will say things against you. But every person that speaks against you will be shown to be wrong.”

“The Lord makes me very, very happy.\par My whole self is happy in my God.\par The Lord put the clothes of salvation on me.\par These clothes are like the nice clothes\par a man wears at his wedding.\par The Lord put the coat of goodness on me.\par This coat is like the beautiful clothes\par a woman wears at her wedding.\par

At the time of this ‘branch,’ the people of Judah will be saved. The people will live safely in Jerusalem. The branch’s name is: ‘The Lord is Good.’”

“God has allowed 70 weeks {\cf2\super [105]} for your people and your holy city, Daniel. The 70 weeks {\cf2\super [106]} are ordered for these reasons: to stop doing bad things, to stop sinning, to make people pure, to bring the goodness that continues forever, to put a seal {\cf2\super [107]} on visions {\cf2\super [108]} and prophets, and to dedicate a very holy place.

Jesus said to them, “Remember when I was with you before? I said that everything written about me must happen—everything written in the law of Moses, the books of the prophets, {\cf2\super [396]} and the Psalms.”

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “Remember what Moses wrote in the law. Moses wrote about a man that was coming. The prophets {\cf2\super [30]} wrote about him too. We have found him. His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph. He is from Nazareth.”

Every person who believes (trusts) in Jesus will be forgiven. God will forgive the sins of that person through the name of Jesus. All the prophets {\cf2\super [215]} say this is true.”

No, we believe that we and these people will be saved by the grace (kindness) of the Lord Jesus!”

But God helped me, and he is still helping me today. With God’s help I am standing here today and telling all people the things I have seen. But I am saying nothing new. I am saying the same things that Moses and the prophets {\cf2\super [498]} said would happen.

Paul and the Jews chose a day for a meeting. On that day many more of these Jews met with Paul at his house. Paul spoke to them all day long. Paul explained the kingdom of God to them. Paul tried to persuade them to believe the things about Jesus. He used the law of Moses and the writings of the prophets {\cf2\super [527]} to do this.

The Good News shows how God makes people right with himself. God’s way of making people right begins and ends with faith. Like the Scripture {\cf2\super [11]} says, “The person that is right with God by faith will live forever.” {\cf2\super [12]}

God promised long ago to give this Good News to his people. God used his prophets {\cf2\super [3]} to promise this. That promise is written in the Holy Scriptures. {\cf2\super [4]}

But that secret truth has now been shown to us. And that truth has been made known to all people. It has been made known by the things the prophets {\cf2\super [164]} wrote. This is what God commanded. And that secret truth has been made known to all people, so that they can believe and obey God. God lives forever.

A person is not a true Jew if he is only a Jew in his physical body. True circumcision {\cf2\super [23]} is not only on the outside of the body.

One man (Adam) disobeyed God and many people became sinners. But in the same way, one man (Christ) obeyed God and many people will be made right.

Sin once used death to rule us. But God gave people more of his grace so that grace could rule by making people right with him. This brings life forever through Jesus Christ our Lord.

So what does all this mean? It means this: That the non-Jews were not trying to make themselves right with God. But they were made right with God. They became right because of their faith.

It is God that has made you part of Christ Jesus. Christ has become wisdom for us from God. Christ is the reason we are right with God and have freedom from sin; Christ is the reason we are holy. {\cf2\super [10]}

This is what I mean: That old agreement judged people guilty of sin, but it had glory. So surely the new agreement that makes people right with God has much greater glory.

The Scriptures told what would happen in the future. These writings said that God would make the non-Jewish people right through their faith. God told this Good News {\cf2\super [26]} to Abraham before it happened. God said to Abraham, “I will use you to bless all the people on earth.” {\cf2\super [27]}

I say this because our hope of being made right with God comes through faith. And the Spirit {\cf2\super [63]} helps us wait for that hope

It allows me to be in Christ. In Christ I am right with God, and this being right does not come from my following the law. It comes from God through faith. God uses my faith in Christ to make me right with him.

The prophets {\cf2\super [4]} studied carefully and tried to learn about this salvation. Those prophets spoke about the grace (kindness) that was coming to you.

Greetings from Simon Peter, a servant and apostle {\cf2\super [1]} of Jesus Christ.
