As for you also,because of the bloodof [My] covenantwith you, I have setyour prisonersfreefrom the waterlesspit.
"As for me, wherecould I getridof my reproach?And as for you, you will be like oneof the foolsin Israel.Nowtherefore, pleasespeakto the king,for he will not withholdme from you."
"As for you, ifyou walkbeforeMe as your fatherDavidwalked,even to doaccording to allthat I have commandedyou, and will keepMy statutesand My ordinances,
To bringbackhis soulfrom the pit,That he may be enlightenedwith the lightof life.
O LORD,You have broughtup my soulfrom Sheol;You have keptme alive,that I would not godownto the pit.
He broughtme up out of the pitof destruction,out of the miryclay,And He setmy feetupon a rockmakingmy footstepsfirm.
For the LORDhearsthe needyAnd does not despiseHis [who are] prisoners.
So Mosestookthe bloodand sprinkled[it] on the people,and said,"Beholdthe bloodof the covenant,whichthe LORDhas madewith you in accordancewith allthesewords."
They will be gatheredtogether[Like] prisonersin the dungeon,And will be confinedin prison;And aftermanydaysthey [will] [be] punished.
But thisis a peopleplunderedand despoiled;Allof them are trappedin caves,Or are hiddenaway in prisons;They have becomea preywith noneto deliver[them], And a spoil,with noneto say,"Give[them] back!"
To openblindeyes,To bringout prisonersfrom the dungeonAnd those who dwellin darknessfrom the prison.
Sayingto those who are bound,'Goforth,'To those whoare in darkness,'Showyourselves.' Alongthe roadsthey will feed,And their pasture[will be] on allbareheights.
"The exilewill soonbe setfree,and will not diein the dungeon,norwill his breadbe lacking.
"Those from among you will rebuildthe ancientruins;You will raiseup the age-oldfoundations;And you will be calledthe repairerof the breach,The restorerof the streetsin which to dwell.
The Spiritof the LordGODis upon me, Becausethe LORDhas anointedme To bringgood newsto the afflicted;He has sentme to bindup the brokenhearted,To proclaimlibertyto captivesAnd freedomto prisoners;
Then they tookJeremiahand casthim into the cistern[of] Malchijahthe king'sson,whichwas in the courtof the guardhouse;and they letJeremiahdownwith ropes.Now in the cisterntherewas nowaterbut onlymud,and Jeremiahsankinto the mud.
"As for you, O king,[while] on your bedyour thoughtsturnedto whatwould takeplacein the future;and He who revealsmysterieshas madeknownto you whatwill takeplace.
for thisis My bloodof the covenant,which is pouredout for manyfor forgivenessof sins.
And He saidto them, "Thisis My bloodof the covenant,whichis pouredout for many.
"And he criedout and said,FatherAbraham,have mercyon me, and sendLazarussothat he may dipthe tipof his fingerin waterand cooloff my tongue,for I am in agonyin thisflame.'
And in the same way[He took] the cupafterthey had eaten,saying,"Thiscupwhich is pouredout for you is the newcovenantin My blood.
"THE SPIRITOF THE LORDIS UPON ME, BECAUSEHE ANOINTEDME TO PREACH THE GOSPELTO THE POOR.HE HAS SENTME TO PROCLAIMRELEASETO THE CAPTIVES,AND RECOVERY OF SIGHTTO THE BLIND,TO SETFREETHOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
In the same way[He took] the cupalsoaftersupper,saying,"Thiscupis the newcovenantin My blood;dothis,as oftenas you drink[it], in remembranceof Me."
But as for you, standhereby Me, that I may speakto you allthe commandmentsand the statutesand the judgmentswhichyou shall teachthem, that they may observe[them] in the landwhichI givethem to possess.'
Otherwise,would they not have ceasedto be offered,becausethe worshipers,having oncebeen cleansed,would nolongerhave hadconsciousnessof sins?
How muchsevererpunishmentdo you thinkhe will deservewho has trampled under footthe Sonof God,and has regardedas uncleanthe bloodof the covenantby whichhe was sanctified,and has insultedthe Spiritof grace?
Nowthe Godof peace,who broughtup from the deadthe greatShepherdof the sheepthroughthe bloodof the eternalcovenant,[even] Jesusour Lord,
and he threwhim into the abyss,and shut[it] and sealed[it] overhim, sothat he would not deceivethe nationsany longer,untilthe thousandyearswere completed;afterthese thingshe mustbe releasedfor a shorttime.
