They have burnedYour sanctuaryto the ground;They have defiledthe dwellingplaceof Your name.
His tabernacleis in Salem;His dwellingplacealso is in Zion.
Whyhave You brokendownits hedges,So that allwho pass[that] waypickits [fruit]?
You have brokendownallhis walls;You have broughthis strongholdsto ruin.

The presenceof the LORDhas scatteredthem, He will not continueto regardthem; They did not honorthe priests,They did not favorthe elders.
The breathof our nostrils,the LORD'Sanointed,Was capturedin their pits,Of whomwe had said,"Under his shadowWe shall liveamong the nations."
Princeswere hungby their hands;Elderswere not respected.
Now he despisedthe oathby breakingthe covenant,and behold,he pledgedhis allegiance,yet didallthesethings;he shall not escape.'"
I will laywasteyour citiesas well and will makeyour sanctuariesdesolate,and I will not smellyour soothingaromas.
