Jerusalemsinnedgreatly,Thereforeshe has becomean uncleanthing.Allwho honoredher despiseher Becausethey have seenher nakedness;Evenshe herselfgroansand turnsaway.
Then the eyesof bothof them were opened,and they knewthat they were naked;and they sewedfigleavestogetherand madethemselvesloincoverings.
"But ifyou or your sonsindeedturnawayfrom followingMe, and do not keepMy commandmentsand My statuteswhichI have setbeforeyou, and goand serveothergodsand worshipthem,
then I will cutoffIsraelfrom the landwhichI have giventhem, and the housewhichI have consecratedfor My name,I will castout of My sight.So Israelwill becomea proverband a bywordamong allpeoples.
"And they will say,Becausethey forsookthe LORDtheir God,whobroughttheir fathersout of the landof Egypt,and adoptedothergodsand worshipedthem and servedthem, thereforethe LORDhas broughtallthisadversityon them.'"
"Your nakednesswill be uncovered,Your shamealsowill be exposed;I will takevengeanceand will not sparea man."

I will makethem a terror[and an] evilfor allthe kingdomsof the earth,as a reproachand a proverb,a tauntand a cursein allplaceswhereI will scatterthem.
They camein and tookpossessionof it, but they did not obeyYour voiceor walkin Your law;they have donenothingof allthat You commandedthem to do;therefore You have made allthiscalamitycomeupon them.

For I hearda cryas of a woman in labor,The anguishas of one givingbirthto her firstchild,The cryof the daughterof Ziongaspingfor breath,Stretchingout her hands,[saying], "Ah,woeis me, for I faintbefore murderers."
Allof them are stubbornlyrebellious,Goingabout as a talebearer.[They are] bronzeand iron;They, allof them, are corrupt.
Allher peoplegroanseekingbread;They have giventheir preciousthingsfor foodTo restoretheir livesthemselves. "See,O LORD,and look,For I amdespised."
Zionstretchesout her hands;Thereis nooneto comforther; The LORDhas commandedconcerning JacobThat the ones roundabouthim should be his adversaries;Jerusalemhas becomean uncleanthingamongthem.
The eldersof the daughterof ZionSiton the ground,they are silent.They have thrownduston their heads;They have girdedthemselves with sackcloth.The virginsof JerusalemHave bowedtheir headsto the ground.
Rejoiceand be glad,O daughterof Edom,Who dwellsin the landof Uz;[But] the cupwill comearoundto you as well,You will becomedrunkand makeyourself naked.
They will dealwith you in hatred,takeallyour property,and leaveyou nakedand bare.And the nakednessof your harlotrieswill be uncovered,both your lewdnessand your harlotries.
"For thussaysthe LordGOD,'Bringup a companyagainstthem and givethem over to terrorand plunder.
"The nationswill knowthat the houseof Israelwentinto exilefor their iniquitybecausethey actedtreacherouslyagainst Me, and I hidMy facefrom them; so I gavethem into the handof their adversaries,and allof them fellby the sword.
"And thenI will uncoverher lewdnessIn the sightof her lovers,And noonewill rescueher out of My hand.
OrI will stripher nakedAnd exposeher as on the daywhen she was born.I will also makeher like a wilderness,Makeher like desertlandAnd slayher with thirst.
I adviseyou to buyfrom Me goldrefinedby firesothat you may become rich,and whitegarmentssothat you may clotheyourself, and [that] the shameof your nakednesswill not be revealed;and eye salveto anointyour eyessothat you may see.
"Thereforethe LORDGodof Israeldeclares,I did indeedsaythat your houseand the houseof your fathershould walkbeforeMe forever;but nowthe LORDdeclares,'Farbe it from Me-- for those who honorMe I will honor,and those who despiseMe will be lightlyesteemed.
