"At that timethey will callJerusalemThe Throneof the LORD,'and allthe nationswill be gatheredto it, to Jerusalem,for the nameof the LORD;norwill they walkanymoreafterthe stubbornnessof their evilheart.
He saidto me, "Sonof man,[this is] the placeof My throneand the placeof the solesof My feet,whereI will dwellamongthe sonsof Israelforever.And the houseof Israelwill not againdefileMy holyname,neither they northeir kings,by their harlotryand by the corpsesof their kingswhen they die,
A gloriousthroneon highfrom the beginningIs the placeof our sanctuary.
"Manynationswill jointhemselves to the LORDin that dayand will becomeMy people.Then I will dwellin your midst,and you will knowthat the LORDof hostshas sentMe to you.
Yet they didnot obeyor inclinetheir ear,but walked,eachone,in the stubbornnessof his evilheart;therefore I broughton them allthe wordsof thiscovenant,whichI commanded[them] to do,but they didnot.'"
"Then they shall bringallyour brethrenfrom allthe nationsas a grain offeringto the LORD,on horses,in chariots,in litters,on mulesand on camels,to My holymountainJerusalem,"saysthe LORD,"justas the sonsof Israelbringtheir grain offeringin a cleanvesselto the houseof the LORD.
"Also the foreignerswho jointhemselves to the LORD,To ministerto Him, and to lovethe nameof the LORD,To be His servants,everyonewho keepsfrom profaningthe sabbathAnd holdsfastMy covenant;
But the Jerusalemaboveis free;she is our mother.
For even though they knewGod,they did not honorHim as Godorgive thanks,but they became futilein their speculations,and their foolishheartwas darkened.
Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,"Once againthey will speakthiswordin the landof Judahand in its citieswhen I restoretheir fortunes,'The LORDblessyou, O abodeof righteousness,O holyhill!'
"But they will say,'It's hopeless!For we are goingto followour own plans,and eachof us will actaccording to the stubbornnessof his evilheart.'
You too have doneevil,[even] morethanyour forefathers;for behold,you are eachonewalkingaccordingto the stubbornnessof his own evilheart,withoutlisteningto Me.
Do not despise[us], for Your own name'ssake;Do not disgracethe throneof Your glory;Remember[and] do not annulYour covenantwith us.
but have walkedafterthe stubbornnessof their heartand afterthe Baals,as their fatherstaughtthem,"
"Yet they did not obeyor inclinetheir ear,but walkedin [their own] counsels[and] in the stubbornnessof their evilheart,and wentbackwardand not forward.
Thussaysthe LORD,"Heavenis My throneand the earthis My footstool.Wherethenis a houseyou could buildfor Me? And whereis a placethat I may rest?
So they will fearthe nameof the LORDfrom the westAnd His gloryfrom the risingof the sun,For He will comelike a rushingstreamWhich the windof the LORDdrives.
Indeed,[while following] the wayof Your judgments,O LORD,We have waitedfor You eagerly;Your name,even Your memory,is the desireof [our] souls.
In the yearof KingUzziah'sdeathI sawthe Lordsittingon a throne,loftyand exalted,with the trainof His robefillingthe temple.
Gloriousthingsare spokenof you, O cityof God.Selah.
And not be like their fathers,A stubbornand rebelliousgeneration,A generationthat did not prepareits heartAnd whose spiritwas not faithfulto God.
But it cameabout when the judgedied,that they would turnbackand actmorecorruptlythantheir fathers,in followingothergodsto servethem and bowdownto them; they did not abandontheir practicesor their stubbornways.
"The secretthingsbelong to the LORDour God,but the thingsrevealedbelong to us and to our sonsforever,that we may observeallthe wordsof thislaw.
"It shall be a tasselfor you to lookat and rememberallthe commandmentsof the LORD,so as to dothem and not followafteryour own heartand your own eyes,afterwhichyou playedthe harlot,
The LORDsmelledthe soothingaroma;and the LORDsaidto Himself,"I will neveragaincursethe groundon accountof man,for the intentof man'sheartis evilfrom his youth;and I will neveragaindestroyeverylivingthing,as I have done.
For sinshall not be master overyou, for you are not underlawbut undergrace.
Now abovethe expansethat was overtheir headsthere was somethingresemblinga throne,like lapislazuliin appearance;and on that whichresembleda throne,highup, [was] a figurewith the appearanceof a man.
"For I know their worksand their thoughts;the time is comingto gatherallnationsand tongues.And they shall comeand seeMy glory.
"Then I said,'HowI would setyou among My sonsAnd giveyou a pleasantland,The mostbeautifulinheritanceof the nations!'And I said,'You shall callMe, My Father,And not turnawayfrom followingMe.'
And you will swear,'As the LORDlives,'In truth,in justiceand in righteousness;Then the nationswill blessthemselves in Him, And in Him they will glory."
"And it will comeabout that afterI have uprootedthem, I will againhavecompassionon them; and I will bringthem back,eachoneto his inheritanceand eachoneto his land.
"Then ifthey will reallylearnthe waysof My people,to swearby My name,'As the LORDlives,'evenas they taughtMy peopleto swearby Baal,they will be builtup in the midstof My people.
O LORD,my strengthand my stronghold,And my refugein the dayof distress,To You the nationswill comeFrom the endsof the earthand say,"Our fathershave inheritednothingbut falsehood,Futilityand thingsof noprofit."
It will be to Me a nameof joy,praiseand glorybefore allthe nationsof the earthwhichwill hearof allthe goodthat I dofor them, and they will fearand tremblebecauseof allthe goodand allthe peacethat I makefor it.'
"[The city shall be] 18,000[cubits] roundabout;and the nameof the cityfrom [that] day[shall be], 'The LORDis there.'"
and I will bringthem [back] and they will livein the midstof Jerusalem;and they shall be My people,and I will be their Godin truthand righteousness.'
"Alsoconcerningthe foreignerwhois not of Your peopleIsrael,when he comesfrom a farcountryfor Your name'ssake
He has weakenedmy strengthin the way;He has shortenedmy days.
