"The peoplealso to whomthey are prophesyingwill be thrownout into the streetsof Jerusalembecauseof the famineand the sword;and therewill be nooneto burythem-- [neither] them, [nor] their wives,northeir sons,northeir daughters--for I will pourout their [own] wickednesson them.
"So they shall eatof the fruitof their own wayAnd be satiatedwith their own devices.
Your sonshave fainted,They lie[helpless] at the headof everystreet,Like an antelopein a net,Fullof the wrathof the LORD,The rebukeof your God.
For those who guidethispeopleare leading[them] astray;And those who are guidedby them are broughtto confusion.
"They will dieof deadlydiseases,they will not be lamentedor buried;they will be as dungon the surfaceof the groundand cometo an endby swordand famine,and their carcasseswill becomefoodfor the birdsof the skyand for the beastsof the earth."
Therefore,givetheir childrenover to famineAnd deliverthem up to the powerof the sword;And let their wivesbecomechildlessand widowed.Let their menalso be smittento death,Their youngmenstruckdownby the swordin battle.
And you, Pashhur,and allwho livein your housewill gointo captivity;and you will enterBabylon,and thereyou will dieand thereyou will be buried,you and allyour friendsto whomyou have falselyprophesied.'"
for I have not sentthem," declaresthe LORD,"but they prophesyfalselyin My name,in orderthat I may driveyou out and that you may perish,you and the prophetswho prophesyto you."
"Your waysand your deedsHave broughtthesethingsto you. Thisis your evil.Howbitter!Howit has touchedyour heart!"
The prophetsprophesyfalsely,And the priestsruleon their [own] authority;And My peopleloveit so!But whatwill you doat the endof it?
"The deadbodiesof thispeoplewill be foodfor the birdsof the skyand for the beastsof the earth;and noonewill frighten[them away].
"At that time,"declaresthe LORD,"they will bringout the bonesof the kingsof Judahand the bonesof its princes,and the bonesof the priestsand the bonesof the prophets,and the bonesof the inhabitantsof Jerusalemfrom their graves.
"They will spreadthem out to the sun,the moonand to allthe hostof heaven,whichthey have lovedand whichthey have served,and whichthey have goneafterand whichthey have sought,and whichthey have worshiped.They will not be gatheredor buried;they will be as dungon the faceof the ground.
Nowhearthe wordof the LORD,O you women,And let your earreceivethe wordof His mouth;Teachyour daughterswailing,And everyoneher neighbora dirge.
Speak,"Thussaysthe LORD,'The corpsesof menwill falllike dungon the openfield,And like the sheafafterthe reaper,But noonewill gather[them].'"
"They will setapartmenwho will constantlypassthrough the land,buryingthose who were passingthrough,eventhose lefton the surfaceof the ground,in order to cleanseit. At the endof sevenmonthsthey will makea search.
"Therefore,thussaysthe LORD,Your wifewill becomea harlotin the city,your sonsand your daughterswill fallby the sword,your landwill be parceledup by a [measuring] lineand you yourselfwill dieupon uncleansoil.Moreover, Israelwill certainlygofrom its landinto exile.'"
"Let them alone;they are blindguidesof the blind.And ifa blind manguidesa blind man,bothwill fallinto a pit."
ThenI hearda loudvoicefrom the temple,sayingto the sevenangels,"Goand pourout on the earththe sevenbowlsof the wrathof God."
