"Whenthey fast,I am not going to listento their cry;and whenthey offerburntofferingand grain offering,I am not going to acceptthem. RatherI am going to makean endof them by the sword,famineand pestilence."
"Therefore, I indeedwill dealin wrath.My eyewill havenopitynorwill I spare;and though they cryin My earswith a loudvoice,yet I will not listento them."
Thereforethussaysthe LORD,"BeholdI am bringingdisasteron them whichthey will not be ableto escape;though they will cryto Me, yet I will not listento them.
"For whatpurposedoes frankincensecometo Me from ShebaAnd the sweetcanefrom a distantland?Your burntofferingsare not acceptableAnd your sacrificesare not pleasingto Me."
"Thenthey will callon me, but I will not answer;They will seekme diligentlybut they will not findme,
"And justas He calledand they would not listen,sothey calledand I would not listen,"saysthe LORDof hosts;
Thenthey will cryout to the LORD,But He will not answerthem. Instead, He will hideHis facefrom them at that timeBecausethey have practicedevildeeds.
For thussaysthe LordGOD,"HowmuchmorewhenI sendMy fourseverejudgmentsagainstJerusalem:sword,famine,wildbeastsand plagueto cutoffmanand beastfrom it!
I will sendthe sword,the famineand the pestilenceupon them untilthey are destroyedfrom the landwhichI gaveto them and their forefathers.'"
"They will dieof deadlydiseases,they will not be lamentedor buried;they will be as dungon the surfaceof the groundand cometo an endby swordand famine,and their carcasseswill becomefoodfor the birdsof the skyand for the beastsof the earth."
"I will scatterthem among the nations,whomneitherthey northeir fathershave known;and I will sendthe swordafterthem untilI have annihilatedthem."
Whyhave we fastedand You do not see?[Why] have we humbledourselvesand You do not notice?'Behold,on the dayof your fastyou find[your] desire,And drivehardallyour workers.
He who turnsawayhis earfrom listeningto the law,Evenhis prayeris an abomination.
The sacrificeof the wickedis an abomination,Howmuchmorewhenhe bringsit with evilintent!

I looked,and behold,an ashenhorse;and he who saton it had the nameDeath;and Hadeswas followingwith him. Authoritywas givento them overa fourthof the earth,to killwith swordand with famineand with pestilenceand by the wild beastsof the earth.
"Will Godhearhis cryWhendistresscomesupon him?
"I will surelysnatchthem away,"declaresthe LORD;"Therewill be nograpeson the vineAnd nofigson the figtree,And the leafwill wither;And what I have giventhem will passaway."'"
"I will also strikedownthe inhabitantsof thiscity,both manand beast;they will dieof a greatpestilence.
Behold,the siegerampshave reachedthe cityto takeit; and the cityis giveninto the handof the Chaldeanswho fightagainstit, becauseof the sword,the famineand the pestilence;and whatYou have spokenhas cometo pass;and behold,You see[it].
"Or[if] I should senda plagueagainstthat countryand pourout My wrathin bloodon it to cutoffmanand beastfrom it,
They will gowith their flocksand herdsTo seekthe LORD,but they will not find[Him]; He has withdrawnfrom them.
"I hate,I rejectyour festivals,Nordo I delightin your solemnassemblies.
"Ohthat there were one among you who would shutthe gates,that you might not uselesslykindle[fire on] My altar!I am not pleasedwith you," saysthe LORDof hosts,"norwill I acceptan offeringfrom you.
"Thisis anotherthingyou do:you coverthe altarof the LORDwith tears,with weepingand with groaning,becauseHe nolongerregardsthe offeringor accepts[it with] favorfrom your hand.
"Therefore do not prayfor thispeople,norliftup a cryor prayerfor them; for I will not listenwhenthey callto Me becauseof their disaster.
Then the LORDsaidto me, "Even thoughMosesand Samuelwere to standbeforeMe, My heartwould not be with thispeople;sendthem awayfrom My presenceand let them go!
