Then you will see[this], and your heartwill be glad,And your boneswill flourishlike the newgrass;And the handof the LORDwill be madeknownto His servants,But He will be indignanttowardHis enemies.
For on the firstof the firstmonthhe beganto goup from Babylon;and on the firstof the fifthmonthhe cameto Jerusalem,because the goodhandof his God[was] upon him.
According to the goodhandof our Godupon us they broughtus a manof insightof the sonsof Mahli,the sonof Levi,the sonof Israel,namely Sherebiah,and his sonsand brothers,18men;
For I was ashamedto requestfrom the kingtroopsand horsemento protectus from the enemyon the way,becausewe had saidto the king,"The handof our Godis favorablydisposedto allthose who seekHim, but His powerand His angerare againstallthose who forsakeHim."
Then we journeyedfrom the riverAhavaon the twelfthof the firstmonthto goto Jerusalem;and the handof our Godwas overus, and He deliveredus from the handof the enemyand the ambushesby the way.
The uprightseeit and are glad;But allunrighteousnessshutsits mouth.
A joyfulheartis goodmedicine,But a brokenspiritdriesup the bones.
It will be healingto your bodyAnd refreshmentto your bones.
Woeto Assyria,the rodof My angerAnd the staffin whose handsis My indignation,
They are comingfrom a farcountry,From the farthesthorizons,The LORDand His instrumentsof indignation,To destroythe wholeland.
Your deadwill live;Their corpseswill rise.You who liein the dust,awakeand shoutfor joy,For your dew[is as] the dewof the dawn,And the earthwill givebirthto the departedspirits.
Come,my people,enterinto your roomsAnd closeyour doorsbehindyou; Hidefor a littlewhileUntilindignationruns[its] course.
Behold,the nameof the LORDcomesfrom a remoteplace;Burningis His angerand denseis [His] smoke;His lipsare filledwith indignationAnd His tongueis like a consumingfire;
Lookupon Zion,the cityof our appointedfeasts;Your eyeswill seeJerusalem,an undisturbedhabitation,A tentwhich will not be folded;Its stakeswill neverbe pulledup, Noranyof its cordsbe tornapart.
For the LORD'Sindignationis againstallthe nations,And [His] wrathagainstalltheir armies;He has utterlydestroyedthem, He has giventhem over to slaughter.
It will blossomprofuselyAnd rejoicewith rejoicingand shoutof joy.The gloryof Lebanonwill be givento it, The majestyof Carmeland Sharon.They will seethe gloryof the LORD,The majestyof our God.
That they may seeand recognize,And considerand gaininsightas well,That the handof the LORDhas donethis,And the HolyOneof Israelhas createdit.
The LORDwill goforthlike a warrior,He will arouse[His] zeallike a manof war.He will uttera shout,yes,He will raisea warcry.He will prevailagainstHis enemies.
"And the LORDwill continuallyguideyou, And satisfyyour desirein scorchedplaces,And givestrengthto your bones;And you will be like a wateredgarden,And like a springof waterwhosewatersdo not fail.
Accordingto [their] deeds,soHe will repay,Wrathto His adversaries,recompenseto His enemies;To the coastlandsHe will makerecompense.
Hearthe wordof the LORD,you whotrembleat His word:"Your brotherswho hateyou, who excludeyou for My name'ssake,Have said,'Let the LORDbe glorified,that we may seeyour joy.'But they will be putto shame.
"Ephraimwill be like a mightyman,And their heartwill be gladas if[from] wine;Indeed, their childrenwill see[it] and be glad,Their heartwill rejoicein the LORD.
So you will againdistinguishbetweenthe righteousand the wicked,betweenone who servesGodand one whodoes not serveHim.
"Thereforeyou toohavegriefnow;but I will seeyou again,and your heartwill rejoice,and no one[will] takeyour joyawayfrom you.
but a terrifyingexpectationof judgmentand THE FURYOF A FIREWHICH WILLCONSUMETHE ADVERSARIES.
