But his fatherrefusedand said,"I know,my son,I know;he alsowill becomea peopleand he alsowill be great.However,his youngerbrothershall be greaterthanhe, and his descendantsshall becomea multitudeof nations."
Then Zedekiahthe sonof Chenaanahmadehornsof ironfor himself and said,"Thussaysthe LORD,With theseyou will gorethe Arameansuntilthey are consumed.'"

He makes Lebanonskiplikea calf,And Sirionlikea youngwildox.
Through You we will pushbackour adversaries;Through Your namewe will trampledownthose who riseup against us.
"Gileadis Mine, and Manassehis Mine; Ephraimalso is the helmetof My head;Judahis My scepter.
But You have exaltedmy hornlike [that of] the wildox;I have been anointedwith freshoil.
Wildoxenwill also fallwith them And youngbullswith strongones;Thus their landwill be soakedwith blood,And their dustbecomegreasywith fat.
"Becauseyou pushwith sideand with shoulder,and thrustat allthe weakwith your hornsuntilyou have scatteredthem abroad,
I sawthe rambuttingwestward,northward,and southward,and no[other] beastscould standbeforehim norwas thereanyone to rescuefrom his power,but he didas he pleasedand magnified[himself].
I knowEphraim,and Israelis not hiddenfrom Me; For now,O Ephraim,you have playedthe harlot,Israelhas defileditself.
Whatshall I dowith you, O Ephraim?Whatshall I dowith you, O Judah?For your loyaltyis like a morningcloudAnd like the dewwhich goesaway early.
When I would healIsrael,The iniquityof Ephraimis uncovered,And the evildeedsof Samaria,For they dealfalsely;The thiefentersin, Banditsraidoutside,
"Godbringsthem out of Egypt,He is for them like the hornsof the wildox.
"Godbringshim out of Egypt,He is for him like the hornsof the wildox.He will devourthe nations[who are] his adversaries,And will crushtheir bonesin pieces, And shatter[them] with his arrows.

Theseare the familiesof the sonsof Ephraimaccording to those who were numberedof them, 32,500Theseare the sonsof Josephaccording to their families.
Then the sonsof Josephspoketo Joshua,saying,"Whyhave you givenme only onelotand oneportionfor an inheritance,since I am a numerouspeoplewhomthe LORDhas thusfarblessed?"
but the hillcountryshall be yours. For though it is a forest,you shall clearit, and to its farthestbordersit shall be yours; for you shall driveout the Canaanites,eventhoughthey have chariotsof iron[and] thoughthey are strong."
Then Hannahprayedand said,"My heartexultsin the LORD;My hornis exaltedin the LORD,My mouthspeaksboldlyagainstmy enemies,BecauseI rejoicein Your salvation.
