And Saraisaidto Abram,"May the wrongdone me be upon you. I gavemy maidinto your arms,but when she sawthat she had conceived,I was despisedin her sight.May the LORDjudgebetweenyou and me."
"I am distressedfor you, my brotherJonathan;You have been verypleasantto me. Your loveto me was morewonderfulThanthe loveof women.
Then Elijahsaidto them, "Seizethe prophetsof Baal;do not let oneof them escape."So they seizedthem; and Elijahbroughtthem downto the brookKishon,and slewthem there.

and whoeverwould not seekthe LORDGodof Israelshould be putto death,whethersmallorgreat,manorwoman.

And my heartbecamesecretlyenticed,And my handthrewa kissfrom my mouth,
Mosessaidto the people,"Rememberthisdayin whichyou wentout from Egypt,from the houseof slavery;for by a powerfulhandthe LORDbroughtyou out from thisplace. And nothingleavenedshall be eaten.
He saidto them, "Thussaysthe LORD,the Godof Israel,'Everyman[of you] puthis swordupon his thigh,and gobackand forthfrom gateto gatein the camp,and killeverymanhis brother,and everymanhis friend,and everymanhis neighbor.'"
A manof [too many] friends[comes] to ruin,But thereis a friendwhostickscloserthana brother.
For whyshould you, my son,be exhilaratedwith an adulteressAnd embracethe bosomof a foreigner?
Then Jeremiahthe prophetsaidto Hananiahthe prophet,"Listennow,Hananiah,the LORDhas not sentyou, and you have made thispeopletrustin a lie.
"Thereforethussaysthe LORD,Behold,I am about to removeyou from the faceof the earth.This yearyou are going to die,becauseyou have counseledrebellionagainstthe LORD.'"
becauseof their wickednesswhichthey committedso as to provokeMe to angerby continuingto burnsacrifices[and] to serveothergodswhomthey had not known,[neither] they, you, noryour fathers.
"And ifanyonestillprophesies,then his fatherand motherwho gavebirthto him will sayto him, 'You shall not live,for you have spokenfalselyin the nameof the LORD;and his fatherand motherwho gavebirthto him will piercehim throughwhen he prophesies.
Thereforefrom nowon we recognizeno oneaccordingto the flesh;eventhoughwe have knownChristaccordingto the flesh,yetnowwe know[Him] [in this way] no longer.
But [it was] becauseof the false brethrensecretly brought in, who had sneakedin to spyout our libertywhichwe havein ChristJesus,in orderto bring us into bondage.
As a result,we are no longerto be children,tossed here and there by wavesand carried aboutby everywindof doctrine,by the trickeryof men,by craftinessin deceitfulscheming;
and you shall be carefulto doallthe statutesand the judgmentswhichI am settingbeforeyou today.
and the signor the wondercomestrue, concerning whichhe spoketo you, saying,Let us goafterothergods(whomyou have not known)and let us servethem,'
of the godsof the peopleswhoare aroundyou, nearyou orfarfrom you, from one endof the earthto the other end),
"The manwhoactspresumptuouslyby not listeningto the priestwho standsthereto servethe LORDyour God,norto the judge,that manshall die;thus you shall purgethe evilfrom Israel.
But the prophetwhospeaksa wordpresumptuouslyin My namewhichI have not commandedhim to speak,or whichhe speaksin the nameof othergods,that prophetshall die.'
then you shall doto him justas he had intendedto doto his brother.Thus you shall purgethe evilfrom amongyou.
"Then allthe menof his cityshall stonehim to death;so you shall removethe evilfrom your midst,and allIsraelwill hear[of it] and fear.
then they shall bringout the girlto the doorwayof her father'shouse,and the menof her cityshall stoneher to deathbecauseshe has committedan actof follyin Israelby playingthe harlotin her father'shouse;thus you shall purgethe evilfrom amongyou.
"Ifa manis caughtkidnappinganyof his countrymenof the sonsof Israel,and he dealswith him violentlyor sellshim, then that thiefshall die;so you shall purgethe evilfrom amongyou.
"The manwho is refinedand verydelicateamong you shall be hostiletoward his brotherand toward the wifehe cherishesand toward the restof his childrenwhoremain,
sothat therewill not be among you a manorwoman,orfamilyortribe,whoseheartturnsawaytodayfrom the LORDour God,to goand servethe godsof thosenations;that therewill not be among you a rootbearingpoisonousfruitand wormwood.
then your heartwill becomeproudand you will forgetthe LORDyour Godwho broughtyou out from the landof Egypt,out of the houseof slavery.
I saythissothat no onewill deludeyou with persuasive argument.
"Riseup! Consecratethe peopleand say,'Consecrateyourselves for tomorrow,for thusthe LORD,the Godof Israel,has said,"There are thingsunderthe banin your midst,O Israel.You cannotstandbeforeyour enemiesuntilyou have removedthe thingsunderthe banfrom your midst."
But false prophetsalsoaroseamongthe people,justas there will alsobe false teachersamongyou, whowill secretly introducedestructiveheresies,evendenyingthe Masterwho boughtthem, bringingswiftdestructionupon themselves.
And the greatdragonwas throwndown, the serpentof oldwho is calledthe deviland Satan,who deceivesthe wholeworld;he was throwndown to the earth,and his angelswere throwndown with him.
And he deceivesthosewho dwellon the earthbecauseof the signswhichit was givenhim to performin the presenceof the beast,tellingthosewho dwellon the earthto makean imageto the beastwhohadthe woundof the swordand has come to life.
and he threwhim into the abyss,and shut[it] and sealed[it] overhim, sothat he would not deceivethe nationsany longer,untilthe thousandyearswere completed;afterthese thingshe mustbe releasedfor a shorttime.
Then the sonsof Israelagaindidevilin the sightof the LORD,servedthe Baalsand the Ashtaroth,the godsof Aram,the godsof Sidon,the godsof Moab,the godsof the sonsof Ammon,and the godsof the Philistines;thus they forsookthe LORDand did not serveHim.
So they forsookthe LORDand servedBaaland the Ashtaroth.
"Nowthen, deliverup the men,the worthlessfellowsin Gibeah,that we may putthem to deathand remove[this] wickednessfrom Israel."But the sonsof Benjaminwouldnot listento the voiceof their brothers,the sonsof Israel.
"Newgodswere chosen;Thenwar[was] in the gates.Not a shieldor a spearwas seenAmong fortythousandin Israel.
Now it cameabout when he had finishedspeakingto Saul,that the soulof Jonathanwas knitto the soulof David,and Jonathanlovedhim as himself.
Then Jonathanmadea covenantwith Davidbecause he lovedhim as himself.
Jonathanmade Davidvowagainbecause of his lovefor him, becausehe lovedhim as he lovedhis own life.
