"Thus He has confirmedHis wordswhichHe had spokenagainstus and againstour rulerswhoruledus, to bringon us greatcalamity;for underthe wholeheaventhere has not been done[anything] like whatwas doneto Jerusalem.
"So giveYour servantan understandingheartto judgeYour peopleto discernbetweengoodand evil.For whois ableto judgethisgreatpeopleof Yours?"
thussaysthe LORD,"Behold,I bringevilon thisplaceand on its inhabitants,[even] allthe wordsof the bookwhichthe kingof Judahhas read.
"He makes counselorswalkbarefootAnd makesfoolsof judges.
Kingsof the earthand allpeoples;Princesand alljudgesof the earth;
Nowtherefore, O kings,showdiscernment;Takewarning,O judgesof the earth.
"By me princesrule,and nobles,Allwho judgerightly.
"So I will pollutethe princesof the sanctuary,And I will consignJacobto the banand Israelto revilement.
Confirmingthe wordof His servantAnd performingthe purposeof His messengers.[It is I] who saysof Jerusalem,'She shall be inhabited!'And of the citiesof Judah,They shall be built.'And I will raiseup her ruins[again].
Alas!for that dayis great,Thereis nonelikeit; And it is the timeof Jacob'sdistress,But he will be savedfrom it.
They camein and tookpossessionof it, but they did not obeyYour voiceor walkin Your law;they have donenothingof allthat You commandedthem to do;therefore You have made allthiscalamitycomeupon them.
"Goand speakto Ebed-melechthe Ethiopian,saying,'Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,"Behold,I am about to bringMy wordson thiscityfor disasterand not for prosperity;and they will takeplacebeforeyou on that day.
"Becauseyou have burnedsacrificesand have sinnedagainst the LORDand not obeyedthe voiceof the LORDor walkedin His law,His statutesor His testimonies,thereforethiscalamityhas befallenyou, as [it has] thisday."

Howshall I admonishyou? To whatshall I compareyou, O daughterof Jerusalem?To whatshall I likenyou as I comfortyou, O virgindaughterof Zion?For your ruinis as vastas the sea;Whocan healyou?
The LORDhas donewhatHe purposed;He has accomplishedHis wordWhichHe commandedfrom daysof old.He has throwndownwithoutsparing,And He has caused the enemyto rejoiceoveryou; He has exaltedthe mightof your adversaries.
For the iniquityof the daughterof my peopleIs greaterthanthe sinof Sodom,Which was overthrownas in a moment,And nohandswere turnedtoward her.
"They seefalsehoodand lyingdivinationwho are saying,'The LORDdeclares,'when the LORDhas not sentthem; yet they hopefor the fulfillmentof [their] word.
And becauseof allyour abominations,I will doamong you whatI have not done,and the likeof whichI will neverdoagain.
"Now at that timeMichael,the greatprincewho stands[guard] overthe sonsof your people,will arise.And there will be a timeof distresssuchas neveroccurredsincethere was a nationuntilthat time;and at that timeyour people,everyonewho is foundwrittenin the book,will be rescued.
A dayof darknessand gloom,A dayof cloudsand thickdarkness.As the dawnis spreadoverthe mountains,[So] there is a greatand mightypeople;There has neverbeen[anything] likeit, Norwill there be againafterit To the yearsof manygenerations.
"You onlyhave I chosenamongallthe familiesof the earth;ThereforeI will punishyou for allyour iniquities."
"But did not My wordsand My statutes,whichI commandedMy servantsthe prophets,overtakeyour fathers?Then they repentedand said,As the LORDof hostspurposedto doto us in accordance with our waysand our deeds,soHe has dealtwith us.'"'"
I sawat night,and behold,a manwas ridingon a redhorse,and he was standingamongthe myrtletreeswhichwere in the ravine,with red,sorreland whitehorsesbehindhim.
"They madetheir hearts[like] flintsothat they could not hearthe lawand the wordswhichthe LORDof hostshad sentby His Spiritthroughthe formerprophets;therefore greatwrathcamefrom the LORDof hosts.
"For thenthere will be a greattribulation,suchas has not occurredsincethe beginningof the worlduntilnow,noreverwill.
"For trulyI sayto you, untilheavenand earthpassaway,not the smallestletterorstrokeshall passfrom the Lawuntilallis accomplished.
"For thosedayswill be a [time of] tribulationsuchas has not occurredsincethe beginningof the creationwhichGodcreateduntilnow,and neverwill.
becausetheseare daysof vengeance,so that all thingswhich are writtenwill be fulfilled.
For I saythat Christhas becomea servantto the circumcisionon behalfof the truthof Godto confirmthe promises[given] to the fathers,
