When God destroyed the cities of the plain, God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the middle of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot lived.


Abraham prayed to God. So God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants, and they bore children.


Now therefore, restore the man’s wife. For he is a prophet and he will pray for you, and you will live. If you don’t restore her, know for sure that you die-die, you, and all who are yours.”


He said, “Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel for you have fought with God and with men, and have prevailed.”


He said to the king, “Don’t let my lord impute iniquity to me, or remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.


The king answered the man of God, “Now intercede for the favor of YHWH your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again.” The man of God interceded with YHWH, and the king’s hand was restored to him again, and became as it was before.


YHWH listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.


Now therefore, y’all take seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering. My servant Job will pray for y’all, for I will accept him, so that I not deal with y’all according to your* folly. For y’all have not spoken truth about me, as my servant Job has.”


The eyes of YHWH are on the righteous. Hɪꜱ ears listen to their cry.


When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed. When he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.


Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread out his hands to YHWH; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.


YHWH is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

As she continued praying before YHWH, Eli saw her mouth.

So Samuel called on YHWH, and YHWH sent thunder and rain that day. Then all the people greatly feared YHWH and Samuel.
