Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. He took in his hand the fire and the knife. They both went together.


Hᴇ heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.


For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.


It is to be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron is to bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel are to make holy in all their holy gifts. It must always be on his forehead, so that they may be accepted before YHWH.


Wounding blows cleanse away evil, and beatings purge the innermost parts.


After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.


The goat will carry all their iniquities on itself to a solitary land, so the man is to release the goat in the wilderness.


“‘They must follow my commandment, so they do not bear sin for it and die in it, if they profane it. I am YHWH who sanctifies them.


But for y’all who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings. Y’all will go out and run around like calves released from the stall.


Henceforth the children of Israel must not come near the Tent of Meeting, or they bear sin and die.

Then he released Barabbas to them, but he had Jesus flogged and delivered to be crucified.


For I tell y’all that unless your* righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way y’all will enter into the Empire of Heaven.

We are witnesses of everything he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also killed him by hanging him on a tree.

The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus, whom y’all killed by hanging him on a tree.


So y’all must consider yourselves* to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.


And y’all must not present any part of y’all’s body to sin as tools of unrighteousness, but present yourselves* to God as alive from the dead, and y’all’s body parts as tools of righteousness to God.


Don’t y’all know that when you* present yourselves* as slaves and obey someone, y’all are the slaves of the one whom you* obey, whether of sin that leads to death, or of obedience that leads to righteousness?


Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin, still live in it?


But now, having been liberated from sin and enslaved to God, y’all have the fruit of sanctification and the outcome of eternal life.


For someone who has died has been freed from sin.


But now we have been released from the law, having died to what hindered us, in order to serve in newness of the Spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.


For I delivered to y’all of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,


Therefore “‘Y’all come out from among them, and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Y’all must not touch any unclean thing. and I will receive y’all. And,


Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”),


for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,


being filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

If y’all died with Christ from the elemental spirits of the world, why, as though living in the world, do y’all subject yourselves* to ordinances like:


For y’all have died, and your* life is hidden with Christ in God.


And by this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.


Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, “sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me.


and make straight paths for y’all’s feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.


For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.


so Christ also was offered once to bear the sins of many, and he will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.


Therefore, y’all acknowledge your sins to one another and y’all pray for one another, so that y’all may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much.


If y’all know that he is righteous, y’all know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.


Little children, don’t let anyone lead y’all astray. The one who does righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous.
