Abraham prayed to God. So God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants, and they bore children.


Now therefore, restore the man’s wife. For he is a prophet and he will pray for you, and you will live. If you don’t restore her, know for sure that you die-die, you, and all who are yours.”


The king answered the man of God, “Now intercede for the favor of YHWH your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again.” The man of God interceded with YHWH, and the king’s hand was restored to him again, and became as it was before.


that they may offer sacrifices of pleasant aroma to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king and of his sons.


So we fasted and begged our God for this, and he granted our request.


Now therefore, y’all take seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering. Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, “Y’all must pray to YHWH to take away the frogs from me and from my people. Then I will let the people go so that they may sacrifice to YHWH.”


Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “Pray now to YHWH our God for us.”


and said to Jeremiah the prophet, “Please let our petition be presented to you. Pray to YHWH your God for us, for all this remnant. For we are left but a few of many, you can see with your eyes,


The people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against YHWH and against you. Pray to YHWH, that ʜᴇ take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people.


Therefore, y’all acknowledge your sins to one another and y’all pray for one another, so that y’all may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much.


All the people said to Samuel, “You must pray for your servants to YHWH your God, so that we not die. For we have added to all our others sins this evil by asking for a king.”


As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against YHWH by ceasing to pray for y’all. I will instruct y’all in the good and the right way.
