The Lord made the leaders confused. They wander and lead Egypt in the wrong ways. Everything the leaders do is wrong. They are like drunk people rolling with sickness on the ground.

Confuse the people. Make the people not able to understand the things they hear and see. If you don’t do this, then people might really understand the things they hear with their ears. Then you will say to them, ‘This is what the Lord says: I will make everyone that lives in this land helpless, like a drunken man. I am talking about the kings that sit on David’s throne. I am also talking about the priests, the prophets, and all the people that live in Jerusalem.

Babylon was like a golden cup\par in the Lord’s hand.\par Babylon made the whole world drunk.\par The nations drank Babylon’s wine.\par So they went crazy.\par
Be happy, people of Edom.\par Be happy, you people that live\par in the land of Uz.\par But remember, the cup of the Lord’s anger\par will come around to you, too.\par When you drink from that cup (punishment),\par you will get drunk\par and will make yourselves naked.\par

After Jesus prayed a third time, he went back to his followers. Jesus said to them, “You are still sleeping and resting? That’s enough! The time has come for the Son of Man {\cf2\super [208]} to be given to sinful people.
I saw that the woman was drunk. She was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people. {\cf2\super [127]} She was drunk with the blood of those people who told about \{their faith in\} Jesus.
