Then he said, ‘Go out and stand on the mountain in the Lord’s presence.’ At that moment, the Lord passed by.  A great and mighty wind  was tearing at the mountains and was shattering cliffs before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake,  but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind.  He said:


On the third day, when morning came, there was thunder and lightning, a thick cloud on the mountain, and a very loud blast from a ram’s horn, so that all the people in the camp shuddered.


The Lord came down on Mount Sinai at the top of the mountain. Then the Lord summoned Moses to the top of the mountain, and he went up.


All the people witnessed  the thunder and lightning, the sound of the ram’s horn, and the mountain surrounded by smoke. When the people saw it  they trembled and stood at a distance.


The Lord said to Moses, ‘Come up to me on the mountain and stay there so that I may give you the stone tablets  with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.’


Moses entered the cloud as he went up the mountain, and he remained on the mountain for forty days and forty nights.


Be prepared by morning. Come up Mount Sinai in the morning and stand before me on the mountaintop.


The Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed: The Lord  #– #the Lord is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth,


And the Lord will make the splendour of his voice heard and reveal his arm   striking in angry wrath and a flame of consuming fire, in driving rain, a torrent, and hailstones.


I looked, and there was a whirlwind  coming from the north, a huge cloud with fire flashing back and forth and brilliant light all around it. In the centre of the fire, there was a gleam like amber.


So I prophesied as I had been commanded. While I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.


The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will never leave the guilty unpunished. His path is in the whirlwind and storm, and clouds are the dust beneath his feet.


You will flee by my mountain valley,  for the valley of the mountains will extend to Azal. You will flee as you fled  from the earthquake in the days of King Uzziah of Judah.  Then the Lord my God will come and all the holy ones  with him.  ,


So he answered me, ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: “Not by strength or by might, but by my Spirit,”  says the Lord of Armies.


For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines   , and earthquakes in various places.


There was a violent earthquake, because an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and approached the tomb. He rolled back the stone and was sitting on it.


His voice shook the earth at that time, but now he has promised, Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.   ,


Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant  appeared in his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder,  an earthquake,  and severe hail.


There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. And a severe earthquake occurred like no other since people have been on the earth, so great was the quake.


Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.


Terror spread through the Philistine camp and the open fields to all the troops. Even the garrison and the raiding parties  were terrified. The earth shook,  and terror spread from God.  ,
