For dogshave surroundedme; A bandof evildoershas encompassedme; They piercedmy handsand my feet.
And againanotherScripturesays,"THEY SHALL LOOKON HIM WHOMTHEY PIERCED."
And when they had crucifiedHim, they dividedup His garmentsamongthemselves by castinglots.
"I will pourout on the houseof Davidand on the inhabitantsof Jerusalem,the Spiritof graceand of supplication,so that they will lookon Me whomthey have pierced;and they will mournfor Him, as one mournsfor an onlyson,and they will weepbitterlyoverHim like the bitterweepingovera firstborn.
Sothe otherdiscipleswere sayingto him, "We have seenthe Lord!"But he saidto them, "UnlessI seein His handsthe imprintof the nails,and putmy fingerinto the placeof the nails,and putmy handinto His side,I will not believe."
Thenthe soldiers,whenthey had crucifiedJesus,tookHis outer garmentsand madefourparts,a partto everysoldierand [also] the tunic;nowthe tunicwas seamless,wovenin one piece.
And they crucifiedHim, and dividedup His garmentsamongthemselves, castinglotsfor them [to decide] whateachmanshould take.
But oneof the soldierspiercedHis sidewith a spear,and immediatelybloodand watercameout.
Whenthey cameto the placecalledThe Skull,therethey crucifiedHim and the criminals,oneon the rightand the otheron the left.
Bewareof the dogs,bewareof the evilworkers,bewareof the false circumcision;
But they were insistent,with loudvoicesaskingthat He be crucified.And their voices[began] to prevail.
But He was piercedthroughfor our transgressions,He was crushedfor our iniquities;The chasteningfor our well-being[fell] upon Him, And by His scourgingwe are healed.
Delivermy soulfrom the sword,My only[life] from the powerof the dog.
My God,my God,whyhave You forsakenme? Farfrom my deliveranceare the wordsof my groaning.
ThenHe saidto Thomas,"Reachherewith your finger,and seeMy hands;and reachhere your handand putit into My side;and do not be unbelieving,but believing."
They returnat evening,they howllike a dog,And goaroundthe city.
Outsideare the dogsand the sorcerersand the immoral personsand the murderersand the idolaters,and everyonewho lovesand practiceslying.
O God,arrogantmenhave risenup againstme, And a bandof violentmenhave soughtmy life,And they have not setYou beforethem.
Thosewho had seizedJesusled Him awayto Caiaphas,the high priest,wherethe scribesand the elderswere gathered together.
"Do not givewhatis holyto dogs,and do not throwyour pearlsbeforeswine,orthey will trample them undertheir feet,and turnand tear you to pieces.
"For evenyour brothersand the householdof your father,Eventhey have dealttreacherouslywith you, Eventhey have criedaloudafteryou. Do not believethem, althoughthey may saynicethingsto you."
My lovedones and my friendsstandalooffrom my plague;And my kinsmenstandafaroff.
