His own iniquitieswill capturethe wicked,And he will be heldwith the cordsof his sin.
The righteousnessof the blamelesswill smoothhis way,But the wickedwill fallby his own wickedness.
But they liein waitfor their own blood;They ambushtheir own lives.
The nationshave sunkdownin the pitwhich they have made;In the netwhichthey hid,their own foothas been caught.
Marriage[is to be held] in honoramongall,and the [marriage] bed[is to be] undefiled;for fornicatorsand adulterersGodwill judge.
"Your own wickednesswill correctyou, And your apostasieswill reproveyou; Knowtherefore and seethat it is eviland bitterFor you to forsakethe LORDyour God,And the dreadof Me is not in you," declaresthe LordGODof hosts.
And I discoveredmorebitterthandeaththe womanwhoseheartis snaresand nets,whose handsare chains.Onewhois pleasingto Godwill escapefrom her, but the sinnerwill be capturedby her.
The integrityof the uprightwill guidethem, But the crookednessof the treacherouswill destroythem.
"But ifyou will not doso,behold,you have sinnedagainst the LORD,and be sureyour sinwill findyou out.
Then the menof Israelturned,and the menof Benjaminwere terrified;for they sawthat disasterwas closeto them.
For evilsbeyondnumberhave surroundedme; My iniquitieshave overtakenme, so that I am not ableto see;They are morenumerousthanthe hairsof my head,And my hearthas failedme.
"The yokeof my transgressionsis bound;By His handthey are knittogether.They have comeupon my neck;He has made my strengthfail.The Lordhas givenme into the handsOf [those against whom] I am not ableto stand.
Also Godreturnedallthe wickednessof the menof Shechemon their heads,and the curseof Jothamthe sonof Jerubbaalcameupon them.
He said,"I have not troubledIsrael,but you and your father'shouse[have], because you have forsakenthe commandmentsof the LORDand you have followedthe Baals.
But when it cameto the king'sattention,he commandedby letterthat his wickedschemewhichhe had devisedagainstthe Jews,should returnon his own headand that he and his sonsshould be hangedon the gallows.
"For he is throwninto the netby his own feet,And he stepson the webbing.
The wickedwill returnto Sheol,[Even] allthe nationswhoforgetGod.
The righteousnessof the uprightwill deliverthem, But the treacherouswill be caughtby [their own] greed.
A manwill be satisfiedwith goodby the fruitof his words,And the deedsof a man'shandswill returnto him.
The wickedis thrustdownby his wrongdoing,But the righteoushasa refugewhen he dies.
A fool'smouthis his ruin,And his lipsare the snareof his soul.
Ifyou say,"See,we did not knowthis,"Does He not consider[it] who weighsthe hearts?And does He not know[it] who keepsyour soul?And will He not renderto manaccording to his work?
He who digsa pitwill fallinto it, And he who rollsa stone,it will comebackon him.
"For the dayof the LORDdrawsnearon allthe nations.As you have done,it will be doneto you. Your dealingswill returnon your own head.
