"Then I will comedownand speakwith you there,and I will takeof the Spiritwhois upon you, and will put[Him] upon them; and they shall bearthe burdenof the peoplewith you, so that you will not bear[it] all alone.
The LORDcamedownto seethe cityand the towerwhichthe sonsof menhad built.
When He finishedtalkingwith him, Godwentup from Abraham.
Abramfellon his face,and Godtalkedwith him, saying,
As soonas He had finishedspeakingto Abrahamthe LORDdeparted,and Abrahamreturnedto his place.
Now when the sonsof the prophetswho[were] at Jerichoopposite[him] sawhim, they said,"The spiritof Elijahrestson Elisha."And they cameto meethim and bowedthemselves to the groundbefore him.
When they had crossedover,Elijahsaidto Elisha,"AskwhatI shall dofor you beforeI am takenfrom you." And Elishasaid,"Please,let a doubleportionof your spiritbe upon me."
"You gaveYour goodSpiritto instructthem, Your mannaYou did not withholdfrom their mouth,And You gavethem waterfor their thirst.
"You will surelywearout, bothyourselfand thesepeoplewhoare with you, for the taskis tooheavyfor you; you cannotdoit alone.
"Let them judgethe peopleat alltimes;and let it be that everymajordisputethey will bringto you, but everyminordisputethey themselves will judge.So it will be easierfor you, and they will bear[the burden] with you.
and let them be readyfor the thirdday,for on the thirddaythe LORDwill comedownon MountSinaiin the sightof allthe people.
The LORDcamedownon MountSinai,to the topof the mountain;and the LORDcalledMosesto the topof the mountain,and Moseswentup.
The LORDdescendedin the cloudand stoodtherewith him as he calledupon the nameof the LORD.
For I will pourout wateron the thirsty[land] And streamson the dryground;I will pourout My Spiriton your offspringAnd My blessingon your descendants;
Then His peoplerememberedthe daysof old,of Moses.Whereis He who broughtthem up out of the seawith the shepherdsof His flock?Whereis He who putHis HolySpiritin the midstof them,
"It will comeabout afterthisThat I will pourout My Spiriton allmankind;And your sonsand daughterswill prophesy,Your oldmenwill dreamdreams,Your youngmenwill seevisions.
Then the LORDcamedownin the cloudand spoketo him; and He tookof the Spiritwhowas upon him and placed[Him] upon the seventyelders.And when the Spiritrestedupon them, they prophesied.But they did not do[it] again.
Then the LORDcamedownin a pillarof cloudand stoodat the doorwayof the tent,and He calledAaronand Miriam.When they had bothcomeforward,
With him I speakmouthto mouth,Even openly,and not in darksayings,And he beholdsthe formof the LORD.Whythen were you not afraidTo speakagainst My servant,against Moses?"
So the LORDsaidto Moses,"TakeJoshuathe sonof Nun,a manin whomis the Spirit,and layyour handon him;
Now when Moseswentinto the tentof meetingto speakwith Him, he heardthe voicespeakingto him from abovethe mercyseatthat was on the arkof the testimony,from betweenthe twocherubim,so He spoketo him.
"No onehas ascendedinto heaven,but He who descendedfrom heaven:the Sonof Man.
But thisHe spokeof the Spirit,whomthosewho believedin Him were to receive;for the Spiritwas not yet[given], becauseJesuswas not yetglorified.
However,you are not in the fleshbut in the Spirit,if indeedthe Spiritof Goddwellsin you. But ifanyonedoes not havethe Spiritof Christ,he does not belongto Him.
Nowwe have received,not the spiritof the world,but the Spiritwhois from God,sothat we may knowthe things freely givento us by God,
So,he who rejects[this] is not rejectingmanbut the Godwho givesHis HolySpiritto you.
Since you have in obedienceto the truthpurifiedyour soulsfor a sincerelove of the brethren,ferventlyloveone anotherfrom the heart,
Theseare the ones who cause divisions,worldly-minded,devoidof the Spirit.
"Then the Spiritof the LORDwill comeupon you mightily,and you shall prophesywith them and be changedinto anotherman.
